Talk of guns and monies.
OOC Date: February 02 2016
Location: Arms Shop - Pistols - Nar Shaddaa
Participants: Vin-vul, Sirus Yume, Shadow Syndicate
The person who owns this shop is Vin-Vul or Vin for short. He stands behind the counter and seems to be speaking to a Bith, "And that my friend is why you never do your own mods. I'm afraid that your gun will have to be rebuilt completely. It's going to cost." The bith says something to his droid and he takes the gun and walks off. The droid speaks, "My master says to.... well, it was not pleasant. Good day sir." The Bith and the droidn turn to leave. Vin merely smiles, "You'll be back. I am after all the best in the business." The Togruta states as he offers a soft wave.
The door is pushed open slowly and in walks a man dressed like a common street thug with a cig burning in his mouth. He looks around for a few moments takign in the shop as he exhales the smoke into the air with a yelloish red is the choice today. The Echani is dressed in a black leather duster open of course with fishnet under it showing off his tattoos through the mesh. He wears a pair of tight black pants and a pair of combat boots as he walks around looking at various items. He does not speak yet or seem to notice the man.
As the door chimes, Vin turns his gaze towards the door while watching the echani with the bad smoking habit. He offers a pleasant and cheerful demeanor, "Welcome to Vin's Custom Guns and Mods. How can I help you today?" He says in basic while studying the males attire. He shifts his hands to rest at the small of his back. "Perhaps looking for a new gun or a mod for a current mod? You'll find no better service then my own. I'm Vin, the store owner. See anything you like?"
"Nah not to my liking." Sirus's voice is calm with a look at the man for a second as he makes his way over and his boots hiting the floor just right."I'm just here to get a gander." He moves towards the counter now and then he exhales another bit of the thick smoke into the air."My name is Sirus and I run the tabac shop and I'm a tad bored figured go for a walk and my feet lead me here." He then looks around slowly with a smile watching the man."Is there a place I can put this out?"
Vin-vul seems to focus on the Echani more as he comes closer, listening intently to his words, "I see. Then perhaps you are looking for something more. Something possibly off the books so to speak. Not that I personally engage in such criminal acts as I am a law abiding citizen after all but I have heard there is a few... rift rafts in these parts doing such work. I could make a few inqueries about it if you life since your feet lead you here and all." Still he remains with a smile, "Or perhaps...." He reaches under the counter and pulls out a small metal looking bowl with a few nuts and bolts in it, sliding it over to the Echani. "...we could exchange cards for each others business."
"Of course that would be a pleasure." The Echani as for the moment still unnamed stabs the cig into the bowl for a moment watching him."So what type of work do you do mister law biding." He then slides out a card slowly and fliping it between his fingers as if it was a coin. It reads simple Sirus Yume listing two business to contact at The Tabac shop and the Art Gallery."I can always help someone network to more work given everyone is getting a little gun crazed lately." He then slides out a silver flask out of his jacket slowly and then he sips the water inside."There has been a rise in crime lately."
"Indeed there has and with a rise of crime, business is good for a pistol maker and modder such as myself. They run in here screaming, I need a gun, I need a gun! I give them what they need... for a price of course. Nothing in this galaxy is free. Money has to be made." The Togruta states to him while he folds his hands over his chest, not minding the smoke or perhaps use to it. "I'm very good at what I do. There was a time when I was living on the streets, I had to do some pistol work that a decent and fair Togruta such as myself would normally never do. It's a cruel cruel world out there and one must survive!" A light hearted small chuckles escapes from him, "But the work I do is... profitable and enjoyable to say the least. I'm just a simple business owner who will do most jobs.... for the right price."
"The price is right normally it sounds. The credits have to flow." Sirus exhales the last of the smoke as he looks back at the man with a wide grin."So that sounds like quiet the life you have made for yourself. I'm glad to see you have risen to the point of having your own shop." He then looks around slowly as they take getting a better look at the shop."My brother would love this place. Very much a collector that one of weapons." He then slides the silver flask back into the leather duster with one quick motion and then he laughs softly."So then if one wanted something a little more wild? I mean just for the sake of hypothicalness. I don't wish for it for my own hands of course."
"But of course. There is no crime in merely discussion theories and possibilities of things. Why, the entire galaxy would have to be put in jail if that was the case. So, hypothetically lets say a fine gentlemen such as yourself was to have a gun made or modded with items that were not standard in most stores and perhaps illegal in some systems, then yes, it's no different then doing regular mods. But a fair business owner like myself would never work on such things. However, should I need to, say, for a just cause and a fair price of course, then I could indeed do such work. As the saying goes, one species terrorist is anthers freedom fighter and they need pistols!" He grins a moment at the Echani as he moves his hand under the counter again and produces a few business cards with his name, contact, show location, and other such information on them. "And I would say that I could love to have a network of businesses that support and encourage businesses to others. So like, should someone come in here and wish to buy a gun and a pack of smokes, I would be most happy to send them to your shop and even offer them a small discount on their next purchase should they indeed visit and purchase from your shop. Proof of purchase required."
"I agree to a deal such as that it means both of us make better credits."Sirus laughs softly watching them and then his fingers idly play with the back of his neck."Then with proof of purchase the same deal with mine as well." He then looks around the shop again for a moment with a wide smile."It sounds like you are quiet the talent person." He then slides his fingers into the back of his coat with a swift motion and pulling out his pistol quickly looking at the man with a smile. His fingers tracing the pistol for a moment about to aim it at the man and then setting it on the counter."I want you to work on this one for me. Put all of your skill into it and I will totally send you more work."
Vin seems most pleased by the words of the Echani. Always good to make new business connections. He then claps his hands together, "Very good, very good. Most excellent news to hear." Guarded eyes seem to watch his movements, perhaps even a little paranoid in the way he goes into his coat to produce the gun. The gun is eyed either out of curious of the weapon or the threat it may hold. Thos eyes of eyes follow it to the counter top then Vin moves to take it, "A very fine piece, very fine." He starts to examine it, disengaging the clip, pulling back the carthage loader, taking note of the internal parts. A brief pause is given to part of the gun before he begins to put it back together, "It's got a custom signature as well. The maker is very proud of this weapon. What would you like to have done to it should I agree to the work you should done on it. And what time would you like it done."
"Well whatever you wish to do and honestly I have never used it." Sirus laughs softly watching him with a stern eye for a moment as he looks at the gun being taken apart with a smirk."But honestly good hands always seem to be able to make something more out of it." He then slides out a cig slowly out of a silver case and then offers one to the other man."Want one?" He then sets it down on the counter as he takes out a silver lighter with a huge grin."I would say a little after the sun sets that is generally when I'm free."
"Then I shall put you on my appointment calender." He says to him and puts the gun back down onto the counter top, offering it back to him. "Should you wish to have it modded, please go through my inventory for what you wish to have done. You'll find it on that monitor over there." A hand shifts to the small monitor that has a list of guns and mods, "Currently I am out of one of my more promising mods. People have rushed in here and bought me out. My parts supplier is in route and should make a new delivery soon."
"Okay I shall do that." Sirus moves slowly towards the vendor and starting to looking with a frown."Sadly you are totally right the mods I would wish to have are all out." He then looks at the man with a frown on his face and a wink."Well then I'll have to swing by at a later time to check your stock." He then slides out his arm slowly to look at the time on his watch."Also I have a business at the GAllery a new painter wants us to work with her." He nods slowly towards the man with a wide grin."But I shall be back around soonish."
"It's been a mighty fine pleasure sir. I shall look forward to our business appointment as well." He says with a small dip of his head. The Togruta then goes back to what he was doing, taking inventory of his shop and the like, "That blasted guy better make my deleivery on time or I'll dock him plenty on his payment. Time is money and being out of something is costing me money."
- Scene change to a cabin*
The cabin itself is a little bit out of the city and it is only easy to find when one is given the directions. It is a simple cabin wood walls with a little driveway already there is a speeder parked in front of it. BY foot it is around an hour walk or by vehicle around 25 minutes at a slow pace. Sirus is sitting out front with his long ornate pipe light and smoking by himself sitting down in a small chair watching the road. Next to him is a little table with a pitcher with a light amber liquid inside of it and two wine glasses. He exhales the smoke every few moments to let out the bright red smoke drift into the air and each time he follows it with a soft sip of the liquid.
Approaching towards the cabin was Vin. He had his hands behind his back as he walked and wore a slightly over sized robe as he moved closer to the cabin. He looks over to Sirus who sits next to a table. He walks up, standing close by but was still causious, "And to what do I owe the honor of this invitation, out here, where others can not see." He says but not so much in the cheery persona he had in his shop, no. This was the voice of someone who knows to not be too trusting of people he's only just met.
"Honestly I wanted to talk to you about the other work you do?" Sirus's eyes are silver little pools of coldness as he looks at the man."Have a seat and some Tattoine spice wine if you choice." He then sips it slowly with a wide smile on his face."I have a job offer for you. I work for a new group that is starting to get it's fingers in many a pie." He then sets the glass down slowly on the table still watching the man as he states this and then breathing the smoke out like a dragon.
Vin-vul takes a sit slowly but as he does, his hands shift from behind his back, in his hand was his pistol. He sits it down on the table before him, offering a nod as he settles. "You mean the hypotheical work I do off the books." He says in case of a set up. "Well, as I stated, I can do it." His arms fold over his chest, "But talk is free and so I shall listen to what you wish to discuss." He pays not attention to the offerd drink for now, "But it seems to be, you may be offering me a job since you mentioned this new job or a profitable business arrangement?"
"A little bit of A and a lot of B."Sirus then pours himself slowly another glass of the liquid with a wide smile."The plan is I run a group of like minded people trying to protect one another a brotherhood if you will." He then takes his cig and putting it out on the ground stomping it with one big boot."But the deal is from top to bottom a 15% percent cut of all illegal earnings to go into the fund." He then starts to sip the drink slowly just watching the man for a moment."Also the next rule is simple don't talk about us to anyone or about you belonging to us. That is pain of death." He then runs his fingers along the glass slowly watching the man.
"Secrets aren't my concern, keeping them is." He says to him as he leans back in the chair he sits, "Safety in numbers, that's always a positive thing. As far as the deal of illegal things and the cut, seems reasonable enough honestly. I know a fair business arrangement when I see it." A soft smile forms on his lips as he says, "Though I can only suspect that you may have gotten wind of some of my dealings... off the books perhaps or you know me to be true to my word when I say I'm good at what I do. So what do I need to do to sign up? Contract? Hand shake? Verbal agreement?"
"I will take you to our next meeting and then you will be in our group." Sirus laughs softly watching the man with a wink."All you need to know right now is we meet in the art gallery." He slides out a piece of paper handing it to the man slowly."That is the code to get into the basement. We are the Shadow Syndicate and welcome to our ranks." He then pours a glass slowly for the man watching him with a wink."It'll be a great pleasure working with you. I'll send all the work your way in firearms. Can you do things bigger then pistols?"
Vin-vul shakes his head but watches the man wink. He seems to raise an eyebrow at that and then shrugs to his question, "My specialty is pistols. It's what I know best." He finally takes the offered glass and sips on it slowly then grabs the paper, looking at it while committing it to memory. "Paper...so low tech but untraceable." Then he grumbles the paper up and sets it on the table. He grabs his pistol and ejects the power pack from it and preses the power packs connectors to the paper, making it spark and catch fire, slowly burning itself out on the table. He shifts the pack back into his pistol as it wines up to show the charge was still good, "I will be glad to have the work sent to me."
"Well learn other weapons on the side. The people I send will need a good deal of other work. I don't want to have to get someone to do rifles or this or that. One stop shop tends to work best. I don't mean learn over night of course. What other skills do you have?" Sirus leans back in the chair and lighting a fresh cig this one is bright yellow."Care for a smoke. I toast and roast do it all myself." He offers the man a cig from the silver metal box that is sitting on the table but was it there a moment ago."I honestly we run all sorts of jobs."
Vin-vul waves a hand at the cig offer before replying, "I merely work on pistols and run a shop. Should I learn to work on rifles, perhaps. I am always looking to expand my knowledge of things. But it's hard to learn when you have a shop that has to be ran as well." He sets his drinks down then adds, "However, I can also shoot what I make so in a fight, I will not run away."
"Anything you need reach out to us and just stop by there trying to setup a board for us at the moment." Sirus exhales slowly into the air with a wide smile on his face."But once again Vin welcome to our group. If you need anything stop by and I'll be there or one of the other members. The goal is to be a well oiled empire and for that we need everything on the same page. We do have two civis in the area first is the woman that owns the gallery and the other is a courtesan. Rhessia is the one that runs the gallery and the second is Yana Silvasi a Courtesan still trying to find a place for her to work. We might open a club."
Vin-vul nods his head softly to this information, storing their names. "I shall keep them in mind." He says softly as he comes to a stand, "If there ws nothing else?" He grabs his blaster off the table and tucks it into his holster before looking back to him, "I will look forward to meeting them and shall stop by the gallery soon." He offers hia hand out for a breif shake.
Sirus stands up quickly and reaching for the hand gripping it in his own with a wide smile."Yeah that is all. I'll send you a message when next we are all gathering." He then downs the rest of his drink and walking towards the speeder."I think it will be a pleasure working with you Vin, once again welcome to our little family."
Vin-vul shakes briefly then lowers his arm, "Like wise." He says with a business like smile. He turns with his robe flowing behind him, offering a back handed wave in his departing.
