Log:The Irregulars: Shala no Hutta II
Te Irregulars plant some fake evidence to increase tensions between the Gangs on Courkrus.
OOC Date: August 17, 2020
Location: Courkrus - Khuiumin System - Khuiumin Sector - Outer Rim
Participants: The Irregulars: Jax Greystorm, Dyannah Nerus, Qadira Suuryet, Nerys Arda, and Sajin
Courkrus in the Khuiumin Sector and System. The City of Varnya where the various Invid Gangs hang around. This particular spot was sussed out by Pyretta as being a spot belonging to Shala the Hutt; A Lomin Ale Brewery and suitable for planting of the stolen Cargo wanted by the Khuiumin Survivors, a rival gang.
It is well into the night time on Courkrus. They managed to clear the system and land. With the busy buisness of Lomin Ale trading, making landfall on the Pirate World was easy. Just say you were here to pick up some Booze and they were more than happy to be accomidating. Whatever the Irregulars decided to take would have a hull full of Khuiumin Lomin Ale for their return trip.
They off loaded a transport skiff from the freighter, Sajin behind the wheel. Possible known face covered by the helmet of his VOID armor, a less known look for the King of Drik. He was not known for his ability to disguise himself yet he had learned to Lie by hanging out with Zhu Yan (What A Man) for many years now. Somehow the short tempered smuggler had kept the firendship of the Hapan, managing not to have backstabbed him... yet.. or that the King knew of
The Skiff pulls up carrying a load of what could only be described as loot. Sajin parks the Speeder Truck just outside the Brewery. Surprisingly there isn't much for security this time of night. <<"Okay...">> Sajin says as he turns his head over his shoulder to look at the passangers. <<"Mekil just holo-commed me. They wagged their tails with Survivor IDCs on Shala's recovery team for the fake Loot we set up... now we gota plant this thing before anyone gets here to find out.">> How they were going to do that, was beyond the mental capabilities of the handsome Hapan. <<"Ah... good luck. If you need me to kill anyone. I'm just a comm call away.">> He was staying with the truck on this one.
Nerys was the muscle, see? All one hundred and change of her. She had the armor and the droid to prove it, see? Yes, yes, that was her story. She had her equipment with her, as always, though she'd exchanged the astromech for her borrowed slicer and occasional shooter. "Did he also send you the security schematic for the building?" Because this was a thing she needed to know. "Odd there's so little security on the hoof."
Feeling certain of the people at her side goes a long way toward reassuring Dyannah. Certain she is. They have finesse and firepower though it was her fervent hope that their little excursion into trickery was not going to devolve into a fight. She was inherently optimistic about people and situations despite her years seeing the seamier parts of the Galaxy, often under fire.
Camoflaged under Trooper armor, the pink of her skin hidden by the dark of the night, she raises a thumb at Sajin knowing he would bail them out if needed. "Got you, Sajin. As much as we love you, I hope we don't need you."
Nery's comment makes her search the perimeter twice before saying, hopefully, "Maybe they're at a party. Let's double check before moving ahead."
Jax was dressed in his jacket, tunic, and trousers. He looked like a smuggler Captain. Even the bantha hide helmet. He watch Sajin turn to look at them from where he was sitting in the back. The Corellian nods, "Any working knowledge of the security system would also be helpful. I can look to see if they've got any funny signals coming in and out of the place."
Kadi is not the muscle, and that's a fact. She is the engineer. The Gadget! So, here she is, a little out of her element, looking a bit like she's not sure just what planet she's on. She might not actually know, truthfully. She can be a bit distracted at times. "If we need me to look at the computers, I can try," she offers. Why is she here again? Oh right, technical repairs and the like. It's surely not for her disguise or acting skills.
<<"I don't know. Didn't that sca-that lady send you anything?">> Sajin asks with a shrug. He was not an expert at this. His main tactical focus was to run right at the enemy with his sword drawn swinging away until they were dead or he was.
Two men with blasters appear to walk out of the loading dock near them. They havn't looked up to spot the newly arrive goods yet, as they're busy lighting death sticks, but they do appear to be an outside patrol ready to do their rounds. The Bar on the far side's music could be heard, muffled beats and noise of people having a good time. The Factory is still running which means there will be workers inside bottling and working the ale.
HiBall burbled a low few words to Nerys, his voice nowhere near as bright and chipper as Belate's. Because he was a serious droid who did serious work, got it? "Alright, let's see if we can get you hooked into the network." The droid took off, Nerys not far behind him, as he moved towards one of the communication junction boxes. A bit removed from the group, and on their personal comms, the two droids dispensed with basic, finding binary faster and more efficient as they worked. Nerys did switch back to basic, before she came back into the group comms, "Alright, I'm sending the plans to your systems."
There are about 10 Cameras, enough to cover every entrance/loading dock/ and exit. A few overlooking work areas so that they make sure the workers are working and not stealing. And some in the offices to watch the credits just incase. There is a Bar here but not anywhere you need to be. The security room is in the middle of the complex warehouse where all the cameras run to. Patrols are marked out. Two man team on the floor, two man team outside.
"Any ideas on how we get inside? HiBall has marked the entries he thinks would be the most suitable." She wasn't the spy here.
"Nothing like on the spot thinking, right?" Dyannah flashes a brief smile at each of the members of their team. "Ten cameras? Not a problem," she adds wryly. "We need to freeze the image on the ones we will be passing, or loop it. Then they don't see us passing by. Can we do it, do you think?" This last question is focused more on Kadi and Nerys though she knows that Jax often has surprises up his sleeve.
Jax pulls out a bottles of lum as he exit the vehicle. Then starts strolling up tho the pair. He pops open the bottle taking a swing. Then he goes strolling up, "Hey which way to the club?" He says taking another swig, "I saw some of Shala's people sneaking around. They just came from this direction. Did you guys see them?"
Kadi hears Dyannah, and she nods her head, going to work. She can maybe stay right here, and monitor, maybe. She types quickly and efficiently, frowning as she struggles a bit. "These guys have good security," she mutters. SThere's a scowl, hands scrubbling through her hair, and then she follows that up with some swift typing, before she says, "Aha. I think maybe that's got it." A pause, "Oh wait just one moment - " Okay, she caught something at the last moment. A few moments, and she nods. There. There's a still image for the cameras we think we're passing. I don't think it will fool them for long though. We better get moving." A glance over where Jax is, somewhat worriedly.
The two turn towards Jax, stopping their laughing. Where the heck did this drunk come from? Reguardless, they really believe he's just some drunk chump. "This is Shala's place... looks like you've already had a party." One says before the other nods towards the Bar, "It's over that way... What crew you with? I don't recognize your colors?" The might get curious to look and see if the drunk was right and there were people looking but they keep their eyes on him, transfixed for the time being.
Kadi makes work fo the computer system, inserting the loop. For now, the guard in the security room doesn't notice the monitor switch from one image to the next thankfully. So far so good.
"We're ready to move," Nerys replied, as she and HiBall headed back to the skiff, "Fast in, fast out, follow the route." She glanced to Kadi and Dyannah, "I don't mind going in, if one or both of you want to fall back and keep the systems occupied while we're working." Yes, of course she assumed Jax would be going with her. Well, when he was finished doing whatever he was doing. Hopefully not just drinking. Save some for the rest of us. "Hide between the crates, HiBall, keep your blaster out just in case." Nerys believed in hedging her bets. She started to move, the droid tucking himself away out of casual sight.
Whispering to Nerys and Kadi, "I want to dance. You both are freaking amazing." She pats her holster where a modified DL-30 hangs hidden by a voluminous jacket. tucking a strand of blue hair back up into her cap she gives them both a nod, "Ready. I'm ready to walk the walk with the pallet. Goddess bless us!"
Jax takes another sip of the booze, "What? Wait is this Shala's place?" He looks up and then back to the guards with a conspiratory look, "Oh I mean, well I thought I saw... Was it.."
Kadi's got radio to Dyannah and Nerys, and Jax for that matter, no doubt. She's sticking to the computer though, keeping an eye on the folks inside the building. "The two guards are near the drop off," she murmurs softly. "I'll try to let you know when they're out of the way, if I can." She's concentrating on the computer, and the cameras, and the inside stuff, trusting Jax to deal with the two outside.
Sajin in the truck is watching them for afar as they move the stuff towards the warehouse. He breaths a bit easier when he notices them slip past the distracted guards and into the brewery proper. However, there's the matter of Jax and the guards who are getting wise to his cunning tricks. They are not very amused. "I asked what crew are you with... you shouldn't be here." He looks to his partner who frowns. "Go take a look around... make sure things are kosher..." He presses the button on his comlink... "Phlem, this is Drex. Might have some holligans snooping around lookings for trouble. Would you put down the Hot Twi'lek's holo mag and give us a report."
The Guard in the operations room with the wall of mintors startles from his leaning chair, almost falling over and onto his scantily imaged holo-mag. "Yeah yeah..." He looks over the monitors... all seem fine. Except he starts to notice the replaying bits in the camera footage after a moment. With narrowed brows he goes to the computer terminal and starts to type.
The Guards inside are more serious than the ones outside, their eyes vigilant. Yes still, Nerys does a good job of routing with the help of her droid.
Sajin, now out of the truck, pulls his knife, crouching down and slow as he approaches the guards near Jax. His shadowplates activate as he enters the darkness, obscuring him from view.
In for a penny, in for a pound. They had to move and whatever was going to happen would just have to happen. Nerys and HiBall, still in hiding, moved the skiff through the door, the route running on her HUD as she tried to move as quickly and as quietly as possible. But it wasn't as easy as some might have made it look, as she had to guide the skiff which she could not hide, though she did try to keep behind it so that she was, hopefully, at least partially blocked by the crates from the cameras. Here's to hoping she didn't fail terribly and utterly. Where the rest of the team was, she didn't know. She'd just have to trust them to back her up.
The pallet bounces slightly as it starts out. There is little that Dyannah can do to hide herself. The trooper's armor is made for sneaking in the dark. Other than a quiet calm pace, willing herself to be in the right place at the right time. She is out in the open. She walks by its side, breathing deeply and slowly.
"Whoa, whoa, I'm a member of Shalla's Gang. Like you. I'm your replacement. Here take this booze and go to the party. You've earned the rest of the evening off. Everything's fine. No problems here." Jax says with a smile. Then hands the bottle of booze to the pair.
Kadi glances at her little ID10 unit. "Button go knock on a door, set off an alarm if you can, and then zip away back here, please." The droid burbles an affirmative and heads off. Kadi meanwhile continues to monitor the computers, trying to gently keep things under control. <<We can do this,>> she murmurs softly. << Going to try to distract the inside guards with a bit of noise over to the side.>> So Jax and Sajin also know what she's doing with Button.
The two guards inside seperate, both moving to either far side of the warehouse. That's when Nerys rounds the corner. Onely one guard sees her, plain as day. He looks her over, noticing the shimmering of the shadow plates. That ws really odd. There was also no badge on her. "Hey..." He says, putting a hand on the grip of his blaster pistol. "What are you doing back here. This is authorized personel only. Loading crews belong in the receiving lounge."
Sajin was about to pounce and show off his supreme skills at putting goons to sleep in rear naked choke holds... yet Jax was far more crafty than that. The two's eyes gloss over as the powerful suggestive waves of the force take them over. "Okay..." They both say, one taking he bottle and passing Jax to head towards the bar like a couple of Zombies. It might not last long though. Sajin comes out of the Shadows holding his hands out the side as if saying, "Come on, really?"
Button does as he's told knocking on the far side door. Sajin follows him over, staying close to the wall and out of sight. Except he wasn't, he was right under the door light, clearly visible. Hapans couldn't see at night.
The far side guard in the warehouse moves to check out the noise examining the door that's there. He opens it. Button makes it out and clear, but Sajin is right there. They stare at each other a moment before Sajin moves in a blur. The Guard is faster, somehow, pulling his blaster pistol and firing. It hits the ground in front of Sajin as the Hapan moves in and crashes nad elbor into his face, following up by tripping the guard and putting him down on the ground into a grapple. <<"Get them out...">> He whispers hurridly. IT Guy continues to try to find the back doors and close them that Kadi is using. The one remaining guard inside hears the blaster shot and turns around, leaving his back to Nerys.
Well, it looked like the jig was up, as Nerys and her skiff walked right into a guard who was checking up on something she really wished he had not decided to check up on. Curse these owners and their hiring good guards. Well, they'd jus t have to work the problem, as HiBall aimed, trying his best not to let his d(roid) rage get the better of him. But not well enough, as the guard spun around towards the sound of blaster firing, and HiBall's shots went wide. Ah well. It gave Nerys time to draw the rod she'd stuck to her back in place of her usual sword. Her's hoping she could do something with it if she had to.
Inside they go, the pallet jostling slightly on a turn. It is all Dyannah can do not to walk with her weapon drawn. She makes a last minute decision, <<"I'm leaving the pallet carrier in place. No way they can trace it to us, not that it'll matter. I think I've left it where we arranged. Coming out."
Jax taps his chest and mouths, 'Jedi, violence is not always the answer and we're on a clock.' Then Jax goes racing inside at Sajin's recommendation. <Drop what you're doing and get out now.> Jax says running through the facility seeing Neyrs engaged with a guard he draws a blaster firing it on stunn at the guard. They all miss.
Kadi's in the middle of a hacking battle, trying hard to keep the guard in the center from raising any alarms. That's keeping her busy, as Button comes back to her shoulder. She hears the sounds going on in there, and her eyes widen as she holds her breath waiting. "Uh oh," she murmurs to Button. "That doesn't sound good."
The Guard is being shot at!? He didn't even see the seeker droid as it shot at him. Where did it come from? He dodes out of the way, and ducks behind another crate just as Jax comes running in. Sajin is hot on his heels and runs past the Corellian, sending a flying knee and an elbow into that of the Guard. Not before he gets a shot off on Dya... and misses. He ws overwhelmed too quickly! <<"Come on, let's get out of here!">> He shout whispers, picking up the body and heading towards the exit. <<"Corsair, get the other guy...">> The one Sajin knocked out before.
The guard is too frustrated with the computer system to hear the muffled shots. Not over the Holo-action movie playing on his screen in his dark closet of an operatiosn room... and the Bar is far too loud. Same with the machinery from the Brewery. They had the cargo placed, now was time to get rid of the evidence. That included bodies to dump, even if unconcious, outside somewhere.
The evidence had been planted, neither she nor HiBall were shot, and she'd been given the order to go. So, Nerys went. She did not leave her droid to his own devices, lest his little droid self get blasted, and instead, she gathered him up like a ball to her chest and ran, keeping him under one arm and her weapon in the other. Luckily, that left HiBall enough room to still keep his blaster out. Hopefully, they could make it out without more interference.
Intuition makes the Zeltron duck. Blaster fire zings over her head. Later she might ask herself how she felt that coming but right now, she crawls out the door on a big wave of relief. First objective accomplished, now to get out and not get caught is on the agenda. Out into the cooler air outdoors, she makes her way to Jax.
Jax is lugging the guard King told him to lug. This wasn't his mission. So he's not complaining about it. He looks at King, "Back of the truck. He looks at Dyannah as she's coming his direction, "Dutchess?"
Kadi continues to work on keeping security from figuring out what they're doing. She quite on purpose clears out all trace of her presence, including cleaning (but not deleting) security logs, so they look normal. As normal as she can make them, at any rate. As her people get out, she clears the cameras so they're suddenly back to normal. Nothing to see here. Nothing ever happened. All is normal. Hah. And Kadi's not even a Jedi. All done, she clears out of the system, shuts down her computer, and takes a breath. "we were never here."
Sajin and JAx toss the knocked out goons into the back of the speeder truck before hoppign back in with the ladies and driving the kriff out of there. Sajin's an okay driver, he probably needs more practice though as he nearly takes out a trash can or two on his way down the road back towards the space port.
When the two wake up they'll find themselves in a park, empty bottle of booze near them wondering just exactly how they got there and if the whole thing was a dream. Or maybe it was the threatening note and the large ammount of credits King left with them... time would tell.
For what the Survivors did when they rolled up in force on Shala's Distillery? Well, that's a story they'll have to wait for New Republic Intelligence to tell them later.
