Log:That time we worked for a Droid.
Doing the job!
OOC Date: January 28, 2016
Participants: Sirus Yume, Suoh Yume, ,Thilda Akura Raim Shah Kauravar as St Shadow Syndicate
Several days ago, one of Kaurava's minions had left a message for the Shadow Syndicate, and now it was paying off. The group of four had been given a location out in space to meet up. Upon arriving, they'd find one of Senator Kaurava's official transports that he was staying on for the time being.
They'd be signaled, and a docking procedure would commence so that they could learn the details of their assignment. It had been made clear by the minion in question that they were going to be disrupting and hopefully deterring a group of surveyors from continuing their project in some location. But further information was never divulged.
"Well then lovely little spacecraft over there." Sirus laughs softly the cig clenched between his teeth with a little bit of green smoke coming out of it. He is wearing his black leather jacket this time fully zipped up and with a hood that he quickly pulls over his head."So guys this is going to be a big one in the future. Corrupt Senator always a good friend to have." He laughs softly with a exhale the smoke through the hood as it erupts in a green smoke cloud."No names always remember no names guys." He then stands up slowly walking towards the door slowly of the Lucky Strike. He looks back at the group waiting for them to get ready before opening the airlock.
Raim Shah sits in one of the passenger chairs of the Lucky Strike as the ship moves in easily to begin the docking procedure. Red glowing eyes are turned to gaze through the viewport, curious about the vessel they are docking with. When he speaks, it is with his customary low rumble, similar to a boulder rolling down a mountain side, "I am used to droids working for me, not me working for droids. I feel like something is wrong right out of the gate." As the ship comes to a stop, the Chiss rises and moves toward the airlock. He has a black coat that flows with each step on that reaches down toward his ankles, masking whatever may be beneath.
Thilda smirks a bit as she looks at Raim, "Droid rights gone mad, am I right?" She lights up a cigarette and looks out the wind of the transport, "Fucking hell, an actual Senator, I remember a time when those just didn't exist." Exaggerating slightly, she's not nearly old enough for that.
When the group of Syndicate people passes through the airlock, they'd be greeted by eight droids, clearly of combat capability, lining the hallway. A show of force or maybe just a ceremonial greeting. At the end of the hall, they'd enter a large conference room where Kaurava is waiting for them. In the center is an inactive holodisplay.
Most people think protocol droids or astromechs when they talk about droids, but the senator is something entirely different, that much is obvious when he rises to greet them. He is particularly immense, and looks like he's more than capable of handling himself in combat. "Greetings, guests. I take it you are not... keen on sharing names. No matter. We have business to discuss."
"Names are never shared unless there is a friendship. For the moment this is only business." Sirus's voice is soft as it escapes his lips and under the hood. Next to him stands his twin standing the same manner their outfits only different based on color. Sirus's outfit is all black with a little bit of red trim to the hood and his twin's is black with blue trim so they can still be a little more themselves."SO then care to explain this job in a little more detail Senator?" His voice is filled with amusement as he looks around the room for a place to sit selecting a spot on the table itself. He leans against it in the sideways manner one leg resting over the over. His brother just stands there for the moment watching everything just a silent observer for the moment.
As the airlock opens, Raim's eyes immediately go to the armed droids that await them. His eyes flick one to the next, identifying and no doubt filing away information only a professional that deals in droids would notice. As the group is led into the conference room, the Chiss' eyes narrow a bit as he looks the Senator over, clearly evaluating him from a... mechanical standpoint. He does not move to sit, and instead crosses his arms over his chest and waits without a word, though his eyes never leave the Senator.
Kaurava extends his arm, one of his dangerously-pointed claws tapping a button on the holodisplay and lights up, giving them a view of the planet in the distance. "This planet has no name save a numerical designation. No space-faring sentient creatures live there, and even the ones that can be claimed to be sentient are barely that. However, the planet is valuable in several ways. It has extreme stores of natural resources, particularly high-efficiency fuels."
He taps another button and the display changes. "This is the logo for Horizon corporation. They like to... look towards the future... so to speak." The droid shakes his head and laughs. "Their feature, they believe, lies in this planet. They do not know what it holds, only that there is potential. Your objective is to deter their surveying team. In some fashion. Killing them is not really what I have in mind, as that complicates matters. However... they are armed against the megafauna of the planet, and will be able to defend themselves if need-be, so you'll need to come up with some method of.. achieving the goals set forth for you in order to claim your compensation."
"Well then." Sirus laughs softly his eyes once again like normal alight with mischief and then he produces a cig slowly from inside of his pocket hand rolled."That will be easy as pie. I mean honestly with the crew I have. Making them stop and leave will be easy." He then lights it slowly with a silver lighter turning his head downwards to not give a sight of his face. He then exhales the blue smoke into the air again with a shake of his head."Is there a deadline on this? Some magical number when they find your stuff?"
Watching the hologram for a few moments, Raim finally speaks with that slow rumble. "So you wish for us to step in and, persuade these people that their efforts should go elsewhere. I suppose you would like to harvest the fuel yourself? Not that it is any business of mine. Though I do wonder, should we accomplish the goal without bloodshed, what form of compensation are we looking at?"
Kaurava makes a slight gesture with one hand. "Earlier is better, the less they find, the less the can report." The droid taps another key and the display changes again to show footage of the surveying team landing on the planet. "The footage was taken three days ago. By now they have set up and begun their work. It will take them time to accomplish anything significant, but I don't recommend waiting."
Kaurava turns his attention unto Raim. "Six thousand credits was the agreed upon amount and my intentions for the planet, fuel, and other such matters are of no concern to you. My business is my own, as your identities remain hidden from me. Do you have any questions pertinent to the operation?"
AW! Suoh loves spilling blood! This won't be fun at all! He shadows his brother, but under his hood he is down right sulky. He gruffs and listens, since he won't be having any fun. His trigger finger itches. He glances to Raim, his brother and back to the tin-man Senator.
"I have an addendum to this deal as well Senator." Sirus looks at him now showing his face for a quick moment and his smile is wolf like."I want first dibs on any future jobs as well. As I stated in the start we are not friends right now. I wish to make that a thing of the past." He exhales the smoke again as he stands up looking still right at the droid."I wish for us to have a long wonderful perfect business and maybe someday a personal relationship. Found on mutual gain of course." He then sits back down on the table after he is finished talking to the man.
coming to his features. His gaze holds, hard, for a stretch of minutes before he says, "No. I think I just found out everything I need to know about this mission." And with that, the gaze is broken, his eyes similarly shifting to Suoh and then to Sirus. Gone is the look of amusement, and replaced with a look of contempt and an added tilt of his head back toward the ship, a subtle and nonverbal 'lets get this going.
"Further assignments will be considered only after the success here." Kaurava states. "I will not make an agreement of that nature prior to seeing if you are able to handle it." The droid returns to the seat from earlier and lowers itself down. "If you have no further questions, you know what to do."
"Well then if we do this to your liking keep us in mind Senator." Sirus then leaps to his feet and throwing the cig down with a crush of his boot killing as he turns towards the door."Good bye Senator we will return when it's finished." He then motions for his people to head out with a wave behind him as he makes his way back towards the ship."Let's get this show on the road."
