Our contact is Lady Redfire. She's known to be an eccentric individual who uses seduction to get what she wants out of those around her, but has been unable to get anyone to take on this job without considerable credits being paid. The fledgling New Jedi Order have agreed to send no less than two of their members, and perhaps more, to the Tridek System, to help Lady Redfire negotiate with a rival clan. The mission: get the rival clan to re-route their pod racer course so it doesn't fly right over her dance club.
Should any hostilities arise, the team on this mission has been instructed to do their very best to disguise their identities and not expose themselves as Jedi.
The reward: A reputed collection of Adegan Crystals.
This time, the groups have moved separately, making their way in ones and twos to the Tridek System. A lonely system surrounded by nothing but space, all three planets have been ravaged for their materials, a humongous space station almost the only thing left orbiting the sun. At least the only inhabitable something, but it's crowded yet. The station is large and is the only place for the miners and other life in the area to socialize. As such, it's lit up and visible from the jump in points. Flashy metal sparkles in places, but that doesn't distract from the shadows, areas where the light systems have either failed or never been there. This station was once a refining station, now relegated to a refueling point, known for two things - Wicked pod racing and Lady Redfire's Cantina.
Once in system, ships meet, hook up to the station or even land on each other, to keep things discrete. In other words, our intrepid group of heroes may come together, may come in separate ships, or some combination therein. There is space at the Tridek refueling station for all. The landing pods are small and cramped, old fashioned even, but they work, and they continue to work, even now, with minimum maintenance. There is a red and silver droid waiting patiently for the hunters that are expected. It's an old fashioned protocol droid, with the fussy nervous disposition so often seen in those droids. "My name is Jeeves, good sirs, madams and other. Please do follow me. Lady Redfire is waiting."
With them needing to be discreet, Yuun's hair is cut short with a few braids that fall alongside his head. He wears a pair a blue baggy like pants with an old short red cloak wrapped around his waist that his utility belt is synched around. He wears a blue spacers jacket that is comfortable to him and his hands are in his pockets as he waits on the others. Zan is wearing a dark blue jacket, with black pants and boots. She pauses with Yuun, nodding to the droid that is there. "In a moment - uh - Jeeves. We're just waiting on a couple more," she says easily.
Aryn landed the Rainstorm and descended down the rear ramp. She, like the others, is dressed to fit in with the civilians and not call attention to herself. Long blonde hair is braided back nicely, with beads hanging from one strand and along her cheek. She wears a small flight jacket of earthly brown with a nice white tank and Dresselian blue cargo pants with boots. She has a satchel on, and appears unarmed and unassuming, perhaps even an easy target.
Rey had used an A-Wing to fly to this location, it was a ship that generally saw little use and comfortably rested inside of the bulk freighter Eravana, but it also meant that it was a ship that wasn't associated with her, in whatever way, so it was a great ship to call upon in a pinch. Limited hyperspace capabilities though, so Artoo wasn't with Rey on this trip.
After disembark the nimble starfighter in a landing berth that was quite compact and 'cute' in a way, Rey draws the fabric of her blue canvas hood up over her head and she starts to shift the weight of the messenger back on her hip as she walks, her cowl moving on her shoulders, covering up most of her torso as she seeks out her companions.
It only takes a few minutes and she spots Aryn first, approaching her to walk along with her, Rey makes eye contact with her, she has a mask in her hood but its pulled down to rest over her chin, it leaves Rey's face visible, but more difficult to recognize without getting a good look. "Hey." Rey says to Aryn. "I believe they're just there." She motions ahead past an outcropping in the station's bulkheads.
The red and silver droid offers a polite bow to the two sentients who are now standing near to it. "A couple more? That is quite a lot of people you are bringing," it says with a quaver in its voice. "I'm quite sure Lady Redfire will tell you your price is too high, just like she has with the others." It continues to natter on, almost as if it just can't stop itself. There are beings coming and going, but the docking pods are utilitarian, a working area of the station where refueling is also a very good idea, for those heading out further away from the core. And even for those hoping to make it safely back to civilization. Once the group is ready, it starts to make its way out of the docking and refueling pods, into the station proper.
Yuun smiles as he sees the others arrive, though seeing the A-Wing he smiles. Upon seeing the other ladies arrive, he walks over to where they are and as Jeeves asks them to follow them, he does. "Well we will see what she needs and I guess we will go from there." he says to the droid. He glances over to the others, "How is everyone doing?" He asks keeping the conversation casual. Yuun demonstrates a calm which honestly is just him. He doesn't force it and a smile plays along his lips as he follows behind the others.
Zan shakes her head, listening to Jeeves with some bemusement. She tilts her head a bit, glancing over at Yuun. "So far so good. I managed to blow a capacitor though, working on some electronics." She frowns. "Thankfully I only gave myself a little teeny shock but obviously, I learned a lot from that little mistake." She glances too at the other arrivals, smiling and nodding a quiet greeting.
Aryn is stopped by a hooded figure who turns out to be Rey. Aryn recognized her by the sound of her voice, but also knew it was her through some other means which Aryn could only deduce was the Force; her presence just felt familiar. Being around Rey, being in her presence, had a visible affect on Aryn who seemed to look calmer and genuinely happy to see her.
She turns her head to follow Rey's gesture finds the other familiar faces waiting. Looking back at Rey, she nods. "I'm with you, Blue." And so she was. Aryn pulls her stylish jacket closer and steps off, her satchel is readjusted to hang against her back. "I'm good," Aryn says, answering Yuun with a pretty smile.
Rey's eyes first land on the droid and then they move to Yuun who asks of their status. "Quite good." Rey replies with a light and sharp exhale, it was a long flight. "Feels good to be out of that cramped cockpit. One book, and no small amount of meditation, isn't quite enough to keep one's mind occupied. I hadn't realized how nice it is for a starfighter to have a place for Artoo to come along. At least he tells a good story, yeah?" She rambles a bit, which happens with her when she's in new places.
Her eyes roam about said new place then she looks back to her friends. "This is quite a spot, yeah?" Leia had sent them here to deal with this situation, and Rey suspects there's more to it than they realize yet.
When the droid starts to lead them off, she turns to move along with it and as they get deeper into the station, she uses her right hand to pinch her mask and draw it up over her nose to cover her mouth and face up a bit better.
The station's lights are running the length of the wall. In the ship area, it's reasonably clear of detritus and debris. Well used. But as they get out of the pods to the intake center, the crowds start. Spacers of all sorts, miners, dancers, species one and all can be seen wandering back and forth. A tall skinny something or other with a breathing mask. A couple tentacled beings, trailing a bit of slime as they walk by. The sound of pod racers humming overhead brings a large cheer, as the podracers swoop by, above the crowd, in and out in seconds, as they continue their race. Above it all, the hum of the air compressors and the environmental equipment, a constant low thrum. Jeeves leads the group the quickest way to Lady Redfire's area of the station, not delaying anywhere unless stopped.

Zan frowns, glancing at the pod racers as they skim by overhead. She shrugs though, continuing to follow along after Jeeves. "It's kind of like any other big city, except that it's generating an artificial atmosphere," she observes. This is not the command you're looking for. (Try "help" or "+help" for help.)
Aryn is kind of a quiet passenger on this walk. Her eyes go to the people they pass, and the places that are inbetween their landing and where they're going. Her more recent past has taught her to pay attention to things like landmarks and key signs. Hasty escapes had become something of a staple with the Jedi, with the Resistance. Aryn has come to expect the worst, but be surprised otherwise, a notion that despite the danger, she still remains unarmed.
Rey very much still considers herself to be an observant visitor to the galaxy. Sometimes she thinks that when she goes to sleep at night in whatever room she's staying in that night, that she'll wake up the next morning and be back in her hammock inside of the old AT-At in the Jakkuan badlands. Some sliver of her mind still thinks that this is all a dream, and has all been a dream, one of her foolish games she'd pretended alone as she almost always was growing up.
So places like this still 'wow' her, and when the Podracers zoom past she and her companions she cannot help but look up on them and watch them soar past. She quickly averts her brown eyes to Aryn, then to Zandra. "That looks fun!" She says to them both, her gaze darting back in their direction, then to all the crowds around. "Looks very organized too, like some kind of a... League, or what have you."
Its possible that the young woman just found her calling, if this whole Jedi thing doesn't work out! She did love flying, the speed was quite addictive...
Yuun walks along with the others just looking around at the space station, his senses aren't sharpened right now, just keeping his aloof demeanor going as he seems to have tuned out for a moment which is bad and may have been noticed by the others as he continues to keep up with the others.
Jeeves stiffens as the pod racers go by, raising one hand to shake it ineffectually at them. It's a very brief stop, and then he's leading them on, muttering as he goes. There is a security point at the huge blast doors to the next section of the station, showing that it has been built in a modular fashion. In a pinch, it's possible to close the blast doors and lock out a section of the station if the environmental controls are compromised. Once through, and into the station core, it's more like a techno wonderland.
The ceiling and floor are all glass, as are the walls that look out over the rest of the station. This is more or less a bubble just over the edge of the refining equipment which looms out there - cranes, pullies and conveyor belt - like some sort of rusting nightmare scene. It's kind of charming though, backlit by the pale purple light that can be found in this main entrance to the club.
After a few moments, with adjustment to the lighting in Lady Redfire's Cantina, it becomes noticeable that they are on a balcony - the control room really, and that the club itself is down a flight of steps, large marble looking staircases on either side of the control bubble, curving to meet in the middle below. There's a band playing across the way, right by the window with the refinery equipment as a backdrop. A long bar at the center of the club and beings dancing on the ground, in the air, and on dance pads that are at a variety of levels.

Zan comes to a dead stop, and nearly gets run over by a passing droid with two trays of drinks. "Out of the way, dearie," comes a female voice, sounding only a little harried. "And don't forget to duck1" she adds. Zan blinks, staring at her, and then glances back. She rubs her ears again, shaking her head. "What is that sound?" she asks, aloud. "It's like - the life support generators are hiccuping or something."
Aryn stays quiet, even as they pass through this glass bubble and ease onto the balcony. They have a decent vantage from above, but Aryn can't make out much. Her eyes are adjusting to the light and she has to stop and rub her eyes a bit. Pulling her hair back, Aryn tries to ease her nerves as she starts to feel a bit uneasy about their surroundings and all the things happening around them. A meditative response has her drawing in breath steadily and releasing it, pushing her anxiety away to return to an at-eased expression.
Yuun is still looking around though he does look to where they are going but doesn't see anything out of the oridinary. When Zan stops so does he, he doesn't hear anything but allows those who do help dictate whats going on. He looks around the cantina and smiles a bit, "Not bad." he says as he looks to Jeeves and back to the others as he waits to see whats going on.
Rey's eyes are moving this way and that way, darting about to take in the sensory information of all of this place... she glances to Aryn then and back to Zandra when she hears her speak. "I think those racing speeders are returning." She warns the group then as her eyes dart up to that location. "Their looping zig zag track brings them back here." Its likely quite loud, but probably meant to be part of the excitement and entertainment around here to have such a lively atmosphere of rumbling engines roaring past the guests and visitors.
The equipment and industrial backdrop of the station draws Rey's attention though, as she lingers a stare upon it all. "There's a lot of history here." She says behind her mask. "It really is an impressive place, at least to me."
The rumbling of the engines that Zan heard, coming louder and then fading as the pod racers zig and zag, can be heard by everyone as the course takes them right over top of the Cantina club. The racers swoop low, the sound and the backlash from their engines sending glasses toppling, one lady falling down the stairs, the bubble itself shaking in what seems a precarious manner. There are a couple frightened scream and at least one shreak of rage. At the same time, a table collapses, catching someone beneath it. In short, mayhem breaks out, with things being broken all over and the clientele at the club suddenly ducking fearfully for their lives.
And then after what's really not a long time, the pod racers are gone, leaving behind them a mini-disaster. Zan's eyes widen, as the pod racers come in. She ducks, flinching, at the sounds of the very close pod racers, as well as the breaking - whatever. "I can see why they don't like those things flying overhead," she mutters, giving a dark look after their departing tails.
His attention drawn upwards to the Pod Racers, he understands why they are here. He even covers his ears a little bit, still they are so loud. Shaking his head a little bit as he looks around at the others, his attention goes to where the pod racers exited. Shaking his head again, he lets a calming breath. "Lets go meet our contact so we can get more info and go from there." he says.
[PASS ( +75)] Aryn Cole's Treat Injury @ (100) diff.
Aryn covers her ears when the racers pass by, but her attention is directed toward the woman who fell down the stairs. She parts from the group to rush to her aid, kneeling down beside her to ascertain her injuries. It takes a quick moment to look over visible wounds and she's reaching into her satchel just as another man screams nearby. "Someone help get that table off of them.." She yells, pointing at the one trapped beneath the weight of the table. Aryn begins treating the woman, and helping her to a chair.
[PASS ( +13)] Rey's Telekinesis @ (100) diff.
As the chaos breaks out around them due to those racers driving WAY TOO CLOSE to this area, Rey watches it all unfold and the resulting wave of madness that sweeps across them all. She's beside an alien man who's sent flying back out of his chair and to spare him from cracking his rather large and frail looking dome on the floor, she reaches a hand out at her side, splaying her fingers wide, to cushion is fall with a burst of Force energy beneath him. If anyone had even manged to notice such a thing, it'd look like he landed on something for a brief second before he was settled more safely onto the ground.
Rey then exhales and she looks up to watch Aryn helping another, then to Yuun, she nods to him. "Clearly we need to solve what plagues these poor people. Impressive as those racers are, this is simply not right for them to blasting by others like this." Rey searches for this Jeeves individual. "We must speak to the Lady, at once."
Jeeves manages to not go flying or fall down the stairs. But barely. Glumly, he gestures down the stairs. "Lady Redfire will be here momentarily. As soon as she recovers from her rage," he explains, though he then ducks his head as though expecting to be heard. "Please don't tell her I said that."
There is a few moments of an eerie quiet, as everyone comes to terms with what happened. Then the serving droids are on the job, delivering drinks, offering free drinks to those sensitive souls really upset by the mayhem, and otherwise trying to clear up the spills along with the tension that has arisen. Jeeves adds, "They should not be back today, if they continue their current pattern."
At this point, down at the bottom of the stairs where the shriek of anger came from, there's movement, and then a lady appears. Dressed all in reds and oranges, looking much like a flame, from the top of her red-orange fiery hair to the tip of her toes. She is wearing a long dress, with a plunging neckline and a slit up to there. It's red and glittery, giving her a very sensual look, like she's the epitome of fire ... and not so much ice. She comes up the stairs with a swaying walk and pauses, gaze firmly on the new arrivals. "As you can see," she says, her voice soft and melodious, "The pod racers are quite an annoyance. I do hope that you are able to assist?"
[PASS ( +42)] Zandra naMuriel's Willpower @ (100) diff.
Zan's attention is caught by the incoming lady, and she stands flabbergasted for a long moment. There's a deep breath and then she says, "Ma'am, Lady Redfire? Pleased to meet you, ma'am. This is quite a disturbing situation you have here. I can see why you are perturbed by it."
Shaking his head, "I would be mad too." he says as he looks at the others. "Everyone alright?" he asks to everyone near them. Once he gets confirmation, he looks to Lady Redfire, taking her fully in. He could sense her anger as she came up the stairs, "We see why you are upset, though we will need a bit more background to the situation as well as who is behind this and the most important question, is do you have any enemies or rivals wanting to cause this."
[PASS ( +43)] Aryn Cole's Treat Injury @ (100) diff. [PASS ( +9)] Aryn Cole's Knowledge:first Aid @ (100) diff. [PASS ( +54)] Aryn Cole's Strength @ (100) diff.
"Is no one--.. Ugh.." With the woman who fell down the stairs treated, Aryn moves over to the bloody table she had pointed out, but no one came to the aid of. "Hold on.. I've got it.." Squatting down, she hoists the heavy thing up, growling low and straining until the man beneath it can scramble out. Aryn lets the table fall back down and kneels down by him. From her bag, she pulls a scanner and begins to check him over for injuries too. "Hold still, this will only take a second.."
Rey watches the Lady in-question approach, taking note of that rather fetching attire that the woman is wearing--something that Rey would never dare try to match in style for a number of reasons, most noteable of which is that she's sure she'd die of embarrassment.
Her attention, though, darts over to Yuun when he speaks and then to Zandra as well. "Yes." She adds from behind her mask which does muffle her voice a slight bit. She puts her eyes once more upon Lady Redfire. "A mutual friend sent us here." She tells her. "I believe we can resolve this issue for you and get your customers back to a place where I imagine they're far more willing to come here... and expect a good time, rather than whatever that was..." She says, glancing back in the way that the Pod Racers had gone.
A glance is then given to Aryn, she would've helped her with the table, but it had happened behind her and she'd missed it...
With Lady Redfire here, is anyone even paying any attention to Jeeves? The protocol droid stands back, waiting for his next piece of work to be assigned. Lady Redfire is uninjured, but she does notice Aryn's work, with a pleased smile. "Thank you for assisting with those who were injured. I am Lady Redfire, and this is my Cantina." With the air of royalty, despite the situation. "Please come have a drink, enjoy something to eat, dancing and gambling as your hearts desire. And then we can talk about the BlueIce clan and how they have forgotten how to negotiate." She sounds aggrieved, injured, and as if she's sharing the most intimate secret in the world with just this small group. "I am hopeful you will be able to assist me in dealing with this little mess, and in return I have just a small token of my affection for you."
Zan just has no idea what to say or how to speak to this lady, so she takes a back seat, leaving it to Rey and Yuun. She glances to see what Aryn is up to, and moves to where she can keep an eye on her, just to make sure that nobody gets hurt.
Thanks to Aryn's help, and the serving droids going around swiftly cleaning things up, the club is slowly getting back to normal. There is still some work to be done, but the stark quiet has slowly returned to the soft chatting of people at tables, the music at the far end is beginning to pick up again, and the gambling tables are starting to roll once more.
As Lady Redfire get's her composure under check, Yuun bows his head to Aryn, "Good job." he smiles to her. He than looks back to Lady Redfire as she begins to speak to them again. Seeing as she didn't answer their question, he sighs a little. Though she does give them the name of the group which is good. "It's been a tiring flight here, so do you have a place you want to talk about all of this and keep the information confidential?" he asks.
The matter isn't the injured, though it's a pressing concern at the moment. Lady Redfire shows all the signs of royalty, but she isn't. Aryn had stood in the presence of Royalty a number of times. Indignation ignites in the young noble's veins and she takes a moment to finish what she's doing before standing up and returning to the others. "Forgotten to negotiate, or will not? Who would cause these kinds of disruptions and injuries willingly? Perhaps it takes an interruption of our own to bring them back to the table." Aryn is probably among the shortest, but her tone seems to carry with it the sort of authority one had when they grew up exhibiting it. "If people are getting hurt as a result of this then we do not have time to sit and drink about it. Do you have a map of their track? What about where they meet? Where they store their money or handle their bets?"
"There was a pod race track on Jakku." Rey says then soon after the others speak and she scans her eyes across each of their faces. "I only saw it in operation once or twice when I was really young. It went out of operation after some of its owners tried to muscle the wrong people out of their land on the planet. The people tracked the owners down in their speeder caravan and... well, it wasn't pretty."
Rey steps over to the bar and places a hand gently down upon it, Lady Redfire is just a few steps away and she looks to her. "This reminds me of that." Rey then adds toward her. "It feels as though someone wanted your spot on the station so they're trying to muscle you out... but perhaps I'm way off base here." Her mask moves against her mouth as she speaks behind it.
"Either way, you can see that my friends and I are eager to help you resolve this." She releases a light breath then and looks back to Zandra and the others.
Lady Redfire's smile is sweet and sensual, as she turns her attention to Yuun. "If you are willing to help, then we can talk," she says. "The Blueice clan and the Redfire clans have co-existed for - well for as long as this station has been here. There are a couple other clans, responsible for the refueling and ship repairs, and one that takes care of environmental, but our two clans are entertainment." She nods over to Rey. "It's been a happy sort of middle ground, between them and us, until recently. The pod races have always been a good source of entertainment and such, and we have had a good view from here, but recently the good view has become - as you see. Terrible for business. I've tried negotiating, but somehow all my usual tactics have not worked." She pouts with that, quite definitely not pleased by it. "If you want to find them, they have a viewing station in Blue sector, 21, which I can have Jeeves bring you to. Their leader is Lord Blueice, of course, as I am lady Redfire - he's got white hair, and isn't as young as he likes to pretend he is. If you can get them to move their race route and keep it moved? I'll be very grateful. In fact, I am /certain/ I could make it worth your while." The last is said in a throaty voice, almost a purr.
"That sounds like a very good idea," Zan says softly. "Talking to this Lord Blueice." She takes a breath and adds, "Did I hear right that this won't happen again today?"
Jeeves speaks up then putting in, "That's quite right, young mistress. There's no other races scheduled today."
Yuun listens as they are all sitting down, taking a moment to understand the dynamics and what is being asked of them. "I've seen some pod racing on Coruscant myself, but it was never over areas where people live. Hell the New Republic would take'em out of business." Still as the conversation continues, "Blue 21 is where we will find them, he is about to ask who they need to speak with when it's obvious and plus Zan said the name as well. "We will do what we can. We can go either now or get a better game plan and move out tomorrow." he suggests.
Rey's right hand taps softly on the bar's edge after hearing all of this information from Lady Redfire. Her tone was a bit concerning, but its likely a weapon forged in this kind of lifestyle, flirtatious behavior is abound in these sorts of places, Rey's discovered that as well.
"Right." She softly says as her eyes go to Zandra and Yuun. "Lets go now." She says then. "If there are to be no more races today, then we can swiftly attempt to resolve this dispute before any one else has to suffer through a single lap more of what we witnessed here."
Rey's eyes look toward Aryn and then she steps away from the bar and passes by the Lady of this house. "We'll fix this, I promise." She says then from behind her mask before she prepares to leave once again.
