Jedi Order: Echoes Through the Ages IV
OOC Date: October 19, 2019
Location: Furthest Outpost, D'Qar
Participants: Elrych Cometburn, Vhe Tenara, Zandra naMuriel, Ban Iskender, Yuun, Kiko Alde (NPC), Aryn Cole
The furthest outpost was within the heart of an evergreen forest, and underground. To reach it the first time, the group had used the help of Princess Lana to open the gate, but with it open now, no such assistance was required. As it stood, killing Leechers was beneath the Princess, so she asked if Aryn and her group could delve deeper into the armory to discover just what the late Queen left inside.
They knew that the armory contained a weapon that could hurt the Mnggal Mnggal, but they have not /seen/ it yet. Additionally, they knew the armory contained other things; ancient and untouched, hidden within a stasis capsule that was deep under the water of a mountain's aquifer.
Their last visit brought them to the command chamber, a similar design from the city which had revealed a hidden city beneath the sea. Lana indicated that the technology would be the same here, only instead of rising plates and platforms, it was an opening that parted the water. She had explained, not just to Aryn, to everyone that the tunnels, or catacombs as she called them (creepy) were inhabited by the mountain dwelling folk known as Leechers. Leechers were essentially goblins by comparison who stood no taller than four feet, and carried archaic weaponry like spears, trip line balls, hatchets, and anything that could be fashioned of stone or bone. They were semi-sentient and had a culture, but their purpose in attacking humans and aliens alike was to drink their blood. They would not do it in one sitting, but they'd keep their victims alive for as long as possible, taking from them blood to serve their 'guests'.
Leechers had to be killed, because there was no negotiating and no working around them. So as Lady Aryn triggered the rise of the ancient technology which parted the waters and revealed the catacombs, an alarm sounded in the form of a loud organic screech followed by others.
Lights began to turn on inside this massive hallway, revealing sturdy floors. No immediate threats, but it did not rule them out. Aryn stood near the head of the group, accompanied by her personal protection, Commander Kiko Alde. "Make ready your weapons. This will be bloody." Kiko announced as she pumped her shotgun to pressurize its breach. Aryn brushes her cape away from her arm revealing her lightsaber hilt, but she does not activate it yet. "If anyone is wanting to back out; now is the time." Aryn warned, albeit committed to the task.
This trip had all around been far too interesting and unnerving if she was being honest. Vhe watches the parting of the waters and then winces, lifting her hands to her ears a moment until she becomes accustomed to the sound - still annoying. The call to back out now has the Ysanna taking a step back but then notes everyone else stepping up to the threat.
She sighs and lifts her hands, reaching out for the force and preparing herself as the sounds meet their ears but she has yet to see anything.
She steps closer to Elrych, glancing at the others with their sabers and giving her practice one a look. Her nose wrinkles as she keeps with the tried and true ability that has always worked for her - or nearly always worked.
Zan has her own lightsaber with her, and a blaster, just in case. She listened to the briefings, and came along to help out. A smile to Aryn, and the others as the question is asked about whether they want to back out. "We're here now," she says softly. "Might as well see what's been buried." She too takes a few moments to try to center herself, reaching for the force, and one hand rests near her waist, where her light saber hangs. "We do work better as a team," she murmurs softly, glancing over at Vhe.
Elrych Cometburn hefts a sigh and scratches the back of his head as he has unclasps his saber from his belt but does not ignight it just yet. "Okay. More creepy trolls to deal with." He chuckles and looks to Vhe as she steps closer. "Should change our name from Jedi to-- troll busters, yeah?" He sobers his face though and calls upon the force to assist him.
One individual present holds a saber of simple durasteel, rather than light or energy; attired in a dragoon's armor and short cape, carrying sword in one hand and having drawn his pistol in the other, Ban Iskender had not fared well when they'd first ventured into the 'Armory', ending up insensate after the blow of a stone club to the back of his head. The young man seems to have recovered well, though, adding only a dry, "And do mind your backs," to Aryn's instructions. A wry edge to the next words, he quips, "Trolls make a fit opponent for any knight, master Cometburn."
Aryn does watch the group for those who intend to back out, catching Vhe considering it; but she is driven forward by the willingness of others, a fact that Aryn stays silent about. Looking to Zandra, and nodding in quiet agreement to her observation, then Elrych; Aryn releases a sigh as she joins the advance and moves into the network of catacombs and toward the screeching noises.
Ban's words of wisdom have a touch of humor to them, or so Kiko thinks, but like Lady Aryn, she does not bring voice to it. She takes point for the group and switches on the tactical light along the right rail of her shotgun, shining it ahead. "Watch the ceiling too," she warns. "They enjoy dropping down on people.."
Their path takes them further in, past the long initial corridor and into a massive atrium. Lights flicker in here, and it is not well lit. Light does catch the wavy contours of the water outside the viewports, projecting these lines upon the ceiling and giving it a 'hotel pool' like appearance. The atrium is not empty though, it's essentially the gathering and village of Leechers who have made their living arrangements out of packed mud and rock. A group of 7, the males for /obvious/ reasons.. take up arms to attack the invaders. There are no children to see, but there are females further in that regroup the other leecher villagers to prepare for a second attack. "Contacts closing from the front! Defensive positions!" "Stars," Vhe says, maleness present and obvious now as she blinks and then tries to focus as they are suddenly being charged. Grimacing she reaches out, pulling on the force to try to throw one or two aside but finds nothing. She creates a bit of air that suddenly passes them but does no harm, her fingers tensing as nothing happens and she slides her foot back a bit as if bracing will help the next attack to come, her eyes widening briefly before they narrow.
Zan sort of stares for a split second at the incoming attack. "That's just wrong," she mutters, as she steps forward by Vhe, working to help protect the newer member of the group. She swings her lightsaber as the attackers get close enough, and it's an even less pretty site once her blade slices through. That right there has her eyes widen, as she swings a second time, missing the target. She might actually look a bit like she's going to be sick.
Elrych Cometburn steps forwards after Zandra to take the brunt of the wave of males. He puts whatever it eas Zandra saw out of his mind as he slices and dices through the parasitic beasts. Its quick and not really all that messy as three leechers fall by his blade.
Ban Iskender fires off a trio of shots from a DDC Defender pistol, with back straight, head high, and arm extended. Were he in a duel or on the firing range, his form would be excellent. In a cave, with uncertain lighting and against an erratically moving enemy, he hits nothing (but looks rather dashing while hitting nothing).
The attack begins quickly, and the Jedi 'line' holds strong. The leading fighter is Kiko, who moves forward and lowers her shotgun to head level with the little fiends. She blasts the first one that crosses her path, splitting their cranium in various directions and dropping the body, smoking from the fragmented bolt spread. Kiko pumps her weapon, releasing a loud hiss of pressurized air.
Aryn is off to one end, and she activates her weapon and keeps it held off to one side. Her initial attack has her squaring off with two. She attempts to hit one, missing with a defiant VWOOM, but she slides forward a bit, locking her legs and feet. With a slight twist, she impales one of the leecher's center mass, then cuts through a second in a single practiced slice that only went deep enough to cause death, not dismemberment. Both forms fall to the ground around her and she moves forward.
"A second attack forms. Maintain this defense," yells Kiko. The females have rallied and appear to be larger and more muscular than the males. They charge now, 7 in all. What hovels of mud and stone were there are toppled by the mindless stampede of large females who stand about 5'5".
There was one big whiff of air last time and as the others cut down and take out those charging, Vhe sees the women rally to defend themselves. This time, with her stance spread, the newest of the Order extends her hands and spreads her fingers, closing her eyes as she tires to focus on the incoming figure. Her eyes narrow and her head lifts as she finds the force and uses to to toss one to the side, trying to twist it in the motion of her hand squeezing to add strength and tension to her attack. She grits her teeth as it crumbles and falls.
It's not easy when you haven't been practicing to use a light saber or even a stun saber. Zan has been practicing, quite a bit, and it is showing. Not yet as practiced as Elrych or Yuun, she's still starting to show form that is allowing her to hit the targets she's aiming with, the motions she's using practiced and definitive. She stays light on her feet, the light saber making that deadly fwoom sound as she improves her timing, not really used to attacking live targets. But at least they go down, and stay down. Zan makes sure to look up towards the ceiling, recalling the warning from earlier.
Elrych Cometburn bifurcates two more, while the third swing takes only haird on the head of his last target as it ducks out of the way. "Alright. Alright... Alright." He says softly hus blade glowing, washing blue over his face and reflecting in his shades. He glances up a moment as well.
Ban keeps his form, and fires again, dropping the last pair of charging goblins. Bending his arm at the elbow to aim the smoking pistol upward, he looks left and right, to verify that the others are upright and unhurt. "All accounted for. Advancing."
A survivor reaches up with a shaking hand to take hold of Kiko's weapon barrel, as if to fight. She obliges by orienting the barrel toward them and squeezing the trigger. That last shot echoes through the catacombs eerily. Then something massive replies. A roar unlike the screeches, followed by thundering steps. It's Kiko who loses her nerve at the sound and steps back slightly. "What the hell is that? Princess Lana didn't say anything about that sound.." Kiko seeks validation, but Aryn speaks up. "It matters not. Whatever it is.. stands between us and this armory. We advance. Get yourself together."-- "Yes, my lady." Kiko answers and steps closer to Ban while pumping her shotgun again.
The way forward was into another corridor. It widened even more, growing taller so that the ceiling could no longer be seen. The flooring had changed from dirt to paneling that had aged, but still held a dull shine. Lights here did not work well, and those that functioning flickered and provided little detail to what was around.
"This is awfully big to be an armory. It's almost like an underground 'street'." Aryn observes aloud, but her sentence is punctuated by the sound of raspy growls, war drums, and a thundering noise of heavy footsteps.
Those who look around spot a separate doorway to the left that's partially opened. Light shines out of it, through what part of the threshold is open.
Vhe collects a deep breath and slowly releases when the threat is dealt with. Her hands as tense as they are begin to ease and relax back to her side. Fingers flex and she glances aside at the others and begins forward - its what they are doing. Once they transition, the Ysanna is getting a real good look around, curious as she ever is.
"Hey, whats that?" she asks as she sees the light and steps in the direction of the doorway. "Ohhh hmmm could this be it?" Since its likely not as large.
The lightsaber stays at the ready because Zan is not at ease, as they begin to advance. "It does seem like a rather large establishment," she says, agreeing with Aryn. The doorway also catches her attention, and she glances that way. "We don't really know where we are going, right? But that light certainly looks inviting."
Elrych Cometburn tries to peer into the darkness but isn't seeing anything. "Guys... what is that... It doesn't sound great..." He makes his way over to Vhe and the doorway. "Better than running into ehatever it is thats coming down the lane."
An underground street? "Or a great barrel," Ban amends to Aryn's last musing. Aloud, he theorizes, "These.. shadow creatures. Is it known what does them harm? Whether they fear the light?" The resounding of drums draws his mouth into a firm line. "We will not have much time, I suspect. If there are controls, they will require a Jedi to operate. Commander-" an eye aside to Kiko. "We ought secure the door against any primitive vanguard."
Emerging from the rear of the group. The dark skinned Jedi doesn't have his lightsaber lit, and it's hanging from his belt, though it looks like he was fighting. Still he quickly moves up to the others, "Hey, whats going on?" he asks as he stops near the group.
"Yes, my Lord. Everyone, to the light and this room. We will shut the door and hopefully avoid this .. war party." Kiko says, and moves ahead to press by Vhe, Elrych, and Zandra to get inside this room. "It does not appear to be an armory," observes Aryn, who is answering Vhe's question. "More of just a room with no exit."
The room was actually more of a chamber. There were pillars on each side, a fountain in the middle, a second level, and benches everywhere. Plant life, likely a thousand years old, has grown out of control and decorates the walls with vines and over hanging branches. The Jedi do not sense any presence in this room as it appears to be empty of life forms.
When the others have made it inside, Kiko unjams the door track and triggers a diagnostic on the door panel. Outside the room, the thundering steps grow closer, and the sounds of the raspy squeels and screeches seem to follow it. Kiko is having trouble closing the door, and is moving through menu after menu.
4 Leechers storm the door way and screech their findings, bringing on a much louder roaring sound and the rushing noise of thundering footsteps, and what sounds like a small army of smaller ones. "The panel will achieve nothing.. someone.. use the force and shut these doors!" Aryn yells, and joins Ban at the front to fend off the 4 that have gotten by the doors.
Hurrying through the door with the rest, turning quickly and barely getting around when the sounds outside become far more sharp and directed. "KRIFF!" She says but with the yelled instructions she extends her hands and curls her fingers, trying to edge the door closed but only stirring it a few inches, gasping a bit as she tries to do more, her teeth gritting and slowly grinding against one another.
Zan glances swiftly around the room, including up. she's not sensing anyone, so she turns to look at the door, seeing that there is definitely a problem. She raises one hand as well, striving to assist in closing that door, feeling the force as she pushes at it, moving it slowly along. The fight there is not missed, Zan trying to keep aware enough to be ready in case one of the critters makes it past those guarding the far too slowly closing door. Quiet though, no smart remarks from the violet haired woman.
Elrych Cometburn jumps as Yuun appears behind him. "Woah man.... where did you come from. Don't sneak up on me like that. That wasn't you making that noise was ut?" It wasn't Elrych finds out as they are rushed into the chamber. He only has a moment to look around before they are in danger deactivated my nce more. He his blade as he has to make a quick choice, though the black and gold cylinder remains gripped in his hands. He extends both arms and reaches out with the force. He has a powerful grip, the door shaking and moving but still there is a long way to go. "Keep at it." Sweat forms at his brow.
Ban takes the doorway alongside Aryn, noting evenly with a sidelong glance, "On your right, my Lady." The nature of a doorway dictating that the enemy will appear at close range, the soldier relies on his sword, thrust, recover, parry, counter-slash, and a pair of subterranean warriors drop.
Aryn nods to Ban when he acknowledges her. They are holding the doorway, which is still open. Four of the vanguard rush in, growling and swinging their spears intent to harm both she and the young Lord. Aryn cuts through one's weapon and slices the wielder across their chest. She did not have time to enjoy this victory because the second leapt toward her hoping to plunge its spear through her chest. She fell backward, tripping and angling her lightsaber up. The creature fell upon the blade, cutting itself in half.
Kiko draws her blaster pistol and blasts the panel in frustration. "Computers are for droids!" She declares, and stomps to the door, placing her back to one side and trying to use her strength to help the Jedi with the seemingly difficult task.
Another roar follows, this one making ears ring. "It's close, it's close.. close the bloody door!" Kiko screams in fear. Two more vanguard make it past the threshold to engage the waiting pair!
Vhe is straining, not really using the Force as she should. She can't quite get it there and again its barely helping as the rest start to make up the difference. Sweat beads on her brow and trails down her cheek as her hands shake as they remain outstretched towards the door, panting as she is doing more work than she need to, the efforts producing little as she grunts and feels the room start to tilt and swim in her gaze.
As the door starts to move, with Elrych's mighty blast, Zan finds it definitely good to do that team work. And as the teamwork starts to take place again, she finds her footing, one hand reached out rather than both, and she manages to yank the door a bit forward, giving a good solid pull on it. "It's really stuck," she says finally, this being a rather difficult task for them all, working together. "Come on, we can do it," she adds, tightly. There's definitely a time limit on this, judging by the incoming roar.

Elrych Cometburn continues to pushe with his brain the low rimble of the force exhoing through the chber. He gives one final push and the door is shut.
Ban looks aside sharply as Aryn stumbles back, taking a half step to his left in order to cover the young doctor as a further pair of warriors force their way in before the ancient door is propelled shut. One sees its spear parried, and a counter thrust takes it through the throat, while he twists his torso to avoid the other's stab, snapping his blade back around to cut across its torso twice. The body remains intact, but falls to the floor, quite dead. Holding his sword to one side, he turns back to offer Aryn a hand in rising. "We endure," he notes with a small smile.
Yuun was working on helping with closing the large heavy doors. Having moved himself in the middle of the group, a smirk playing on his lips at him scaring Elrych. "I'm sorry Lord Elrych." he chuckles but then his focus was allon the door. He wasn't able to help fight, but than again at times, one had to go with what was needed and the door needed to be closed. FOcusing his attention on the door, Yuun helps Zandra and Elrych with closing that door.
The door slams shut in time for a chorus of percussion to rap against the aged metal. Screams and raspy noises pale in comparison to the resounding thud that bends the metal slightly inward with a single knock. Kiko is thrown from the door and spills forward from the impact. Turning over, she crawls back a bit, clearly terrified. She scrambles to her feet and unclasps her cape, casting it aside to allow her more movement. This will be a fight for their lives. Looking up, she sees high ground. "I am moving up. I will be no use in close quarters, but I can shoot!"
Aryn takes the hand and pulls herself up, reactivating her lightsaber a second after finding her feet again. "Aye," she replied and looked to the door before glancing at Lord Ban with worry. "It appears the door has only bought us time for the inevitable." Aryn says, turning when Kiko mentions high ground. "Go, and get your vantage." Another loud knock on the door has the metal bowing further and Aryn takes a deep breath before stepping back. "Ready yourselves!" The doctor calls, bringing her lightsaber to a ready position.
The door bursts inward and a /massive/ pair of claws rip one side out. "Gods, stars.. Mother save us!" Kiko calls out. The rush of vanguard follows! 18 Leechers charge with spears in hand, ready to do war. The larger creature behind them roars, tearing at the wall to open it up.
Vhe is busy backing up, setting herself in line with the others as the door implodes inwards and is thrown forward at them. Gasping, she jumps a bit and her hands lift almost as an after thought - like her process was slow enough to cause her to lurch suddenly in reaction. The Force answers and she rips one of the first ones to near them and tosses them back and up away, the sickening crunch to follow as she takes a back step to allow herself more room.
Zan's lightsaber returns to that defensive posture, as the door is pounded several times over. When it implodes and the onrush of creatures is upon them, she reacts swiftly, intinctively. Her lightsaber moves in the form taught, slashing in broad strokes that swiftly take out one, though the sheer number of them has her eyes go wide, and her second slash hits only air. She still brings that saber back to a defensive position warily.
Elrych Cometburn twirl his blade with his wrist and lashes out in basic form 1. Simple slashes and strikes that chop three more leechers in twin. His face flat and serious, he is focused, the force flowers ng through him
Lord Ban turns back to the door with a raised brow as it is bowed in by the sheer force of whatever unseen monstrosity closes upon them. "So it seems, my Lady," he notes dryly to Aryn's observation. "If they mean to bring a walker, I should like to have a speeder bike again, but we shall make do. And this time there are no tens of thousands of lives at stake. Merely our own." The notion brings a brief smile back to his face, before the doors are carved in and the horde rushes them. "On your right, my Lady." Against foes *without* a supernatural sense of danger, the young nobleman's sword is proving deadly, cutting down a trio of Leechers in a trio of seconds.
Yuun hears the roar and sees the large number of Leechers rushing in towards them. Yuun looks to everyone, "Everyone flank and attack, cover one another if you can!" he calls out and with that, Yuun is a blur. He rushes in towards the Leechers having coming around from the left. His lightsaber is swiped up into his hand and as he does his lightsaber blazes to life with a snap-hiss as it's activated.
Yuun quickly brings his lightsaber in a horizontal slash against the Leecher closest to him. As he cuts the creature in half, Yuun senses an attack from his right, he pivots on his left foot, spinning past the Leecher that just attacked and does a back reverse thrust skwering the Leecher. As he completes his strike another Leecher closes in, deactivating his lighter, he rolls to his left and avoids the strike, he reactivates his lightsaber and brings the blade up between the creatures leg, slicing it in half cleanly.
"Improvise and overcome is what they say, my Lord." Aryn answers back, turning to look ahead with a slight smirk. With no time for anything else, it comes to battle and the Jedi and company hold their ground against overwhelming odds. Aryn stays at Lord Ban's side, cutting down two in short, quick, rapid fashion with a style that was more sporting than unbalanced. Aryn stands like a trained swordsman, and only moves from her planted position when a warrior came too close to running her through. She pivoted in place, stepping away and spinning to avoid the attack. Her cape is the last to travel through the momentum, its distinguished blue visible beneath the light of the room.
The last half of the door is swiped out with the strength of a creature that stood as tall as a building. Blue and silver streaked, the Vorantikus lumbers beneath the threshold it made, tearing out the very stone. Its body is aligned with tall pillars of sharp bone, and claws nearly the size of small speeders. A tall, stretched out face almost looks bearded, but its the jagged claw beneath its chin that juts out dangerously. Thousands of sharp teeth glisten as it reveals them with a roar so loud it leaves ears ringing. It moves forward to attack! Five others join it, and the two that remained from the initial charge, attack again.
"Its legs!" Screams Aryn, who is already running to a flank like Yuun has suggested. From above, Kiko blasts a trio of leechers with some practiced ease, but her terror intensifies at seeing the monster they've brought with them. "Mother save us!"
Its hard to really focus on the little things even when they are buzzing in your face. There is something far larger that causes Vhe to nearly stumble over herself. She looks past the leecher atop her and extends her hand, trying to pull on a leg to help distract the thing or at least HELP take it down. She growls as she tries, fingers curling and scrambling for purchase as she gasps. "COME ON!" SHe says, dancing to the side to stay out of reach of the weapons. Nothing happens!
Zan's green colour from earlier faded, as she got into things. Not that she's happy about taking life at all, just that she's resigned to the necessity. She does pale though, as the next big thing comes flying in at them. "Troll indeed," is her comment, harkening back to Elrych's and Ban's banter earlier. She makes a split decision to not let the little ones take over, instead trying to keep them under control, as others are trying to deal with the voracious whateverthefrell that thing is.
Elrych Cometburn is thrown off a bit by the violent appearance of yhe 'troll'. "Well..." He clears his throat and lashes out at the leechers first, a more direct threat. "Ranhed fifhter, keep that thing back until we are free of the forward line." that sounded right... at least. He had heard something similar said in battle before.
Ban Iskender looks up.. and up at the monstrosity that tears into the chamber. A terse exhale follows and the sniffed words, "*Really*, now?" Observing- or just sensing that Aryn is moving off to attack the fanged monolith, he re-draws his pistol and aims his boots at what appears to be an eye of the beast. It's so large he can only see one eye. The bolts impact the creature to little effect, before one manages to injure the eye. "That ought to get your attention," he voices quietly.
Yuun sensed the large creature rushing in after it bashed in the doors, still he had to focus and with too many calling out orders on how to fight, he keeps his mouth shut. Still Yuun is in the thick of it, the blue blade of his lightsaber moves in a intricate pattern as Yuun dancing through the Leechers. Spinning his blade in a rapid arc to his right, cutting one Leecher from the left shoulder diagonally. He flips over another taking the head off one and finishes off another with a stab through it's heart. Even amidst the chaos of battle, Yuun bows his head to his fallen enemies, "Be one with the Force." he says.
This fight is intense. Leechers are coming from every angle in an effort to attack; the Vorantikus is charging, and fear is steeped in this room so high that it's palpable.
Aryn takes a steadying breath and charges ahead from her flank, holding her lightsaber out to her side while closing the distance. The Vorantikus is so large that Aryn actually has to dodge its massive hand in an effort to reach its legs. She stands beneath it, and tries to slash at the legs. It moves each time, leaving her stumbling and turning back to get her bearings. The third time it happened, a massive clawed hand came down and smashed into the flooring. Aryn, with enough sense to move, deactivates her weapon and leaps to one side just in time to avoid certain death. She scrambles back to her feet, recalling the sapphire blue blade and looking for her next opportunity to attack.
Kiko, from above, blasts another leecher in the chest, then turns to watch Aryn move in for an attack on the monster. "Oh no.." She mumbles, and raises her blaster to fire into the creature where ever she can find an opening. Her handcannon has enough punch to cause the creature to flinch each time its hit, but it searches still for the young doctor while 2 new leechers show up late to the party.
Vhe is having no luck with the big guy, everything just seems to miss. She frowns and as two more slip in to join the fray her outstretched hand angles at one and twists, pulling upon the force to basically upend it and snap its neck upon contact with the ground in the rotation. She breathes out, panting really as she takes a step back, trying to stay out of range of the large creature that she is definitely not helping with presently. Zan is incredibly not impressed with this whole scenario, but she's here. There is a moment when more leechers come in, that the violet haired woman's grey eyes literally flash with incredulity. She side steps and slashes at one of the leechers, then heads for the big monster, taking Aryn's advice and giving it two targets instead of one, as she also starts slashing with her lightsaber. "Why did we sign up for this again?" she asks, half seriously. "You know, if we manage to kill this thing, be careful when it falls. it could probably squish us if it lands on us."
Elrych makes his way over to Vhe for a moment, noticing her panting. He places his hand over hers gently and reaches out in the force towards here. There is something shared, "You're doing great Vhe... breath." Turning his head though as the beast roars, Elrych presses into the Frey to join Aryn and Zandra. As Zandra takes a chunk out of it, Elrych slashes deep into the beast. It roars and jolts back away from him, causing his second swing to go wide. The Corellian Jedi then plunges his neon blue blade through the center of the creature and leaves it there for a long moment, turning it clockwise and then counter clock wise slowly. Probably not a pleasant experiance.
Lord Ban winces at the beast narrowly misses one of their number, crushing the ground as Aryn dives out of the way at the last instant. Hurrying his steps toward both Aryn and the beast's still-seeing side, the other Jedi make an end of the Vorantikus, is a flashing swarm of blue blades. "Well struck, master Cometburn!" he calls, before raising his sword before one eye in a short salute to Zandra, and adding another to the high perched pistolier. Dryly, he notes to Aryn, "The beast had an eye for quality, at least."
Yuun finishes off the three Leechers he was dealing with but he as he does he looks and sees the Vorankitus go down before howling out loudly. He smiles, "Good work everyone. Is everyone ok?"he asks.
Aryn is breathing hard, but is witness to the fight her friends join, with the paired attack of Zandra and Elrych, the Vorantikus tumbles back and dies. Surveying the scene, these heroes are surrounded by the bodies of the fallen to include the big one. Aryn deactivates her weapon and looks to her companions. "Well fought everyone.. this; we need more men if we're to take the depths of this armory. Let us draw back now, and I'll send word for a platoon before we go in again." To Elrych and Zandra, "Well done, you two."-- To Ban, "I wonder if we know a taxidermist.. he would look great at my parents bar in Bastion." She gestures to the Vorantikus, and chuckles. "If we're well, let's draw back for reinforcements. I'm not keen to endanger a small group when we can have larger numbers on our side."
