Fur Spiders attack a New Republic Caravan on the jedi temple doorstep.

[ Rey Skywalker (Ry) | 20:26:52 ]

The sun is just down below the horizon and its quickly growing dark outside of the Jedi Temple. The moist humidity is still thick in the air as the temple ambience is quiet and calm.

Inside the temple, an alert comes across the local network that a Republic Caravan that was headed back from the capitol city is under attack. The Caravan is calling for help from the Jedi Temple and is apparently headed TO the temple as it is on the way to the Republic settlement on the other side of the valley from where the Temple resides.

<<"This is Republic Caravan Zeeta Seven, we're being attacked by local wildlife. They're hostile! *blaster sounds* They're picking us off! *more blaster fire!* We're coming your way, Jedi!>>

The sounds of the blasters can be heard in the distance of the jungle, coming across the old bridge that was restored shortly after the temple was re-opened by the new Order.

A call goes out to the Jedi on site at the Temple to get outside and meet the Caravan, or try and help any way they can!

Jax had spent most of the day teaching piloting skills to some of the learners and just retired to eat some dinner in the mess hall when the call came across the local network. The abandonment of dinner except for a dinner roll seemed to be the outcome as the jedi knight set about helping to gather a group of his fellow jedi to assist the caravan.

As the jedi gather outside they see the signs of their arriving guests and well the cause of all the problems, Devaronian fur spiders. The Caravan was covered in them as the caravan guards shoot at the spiders. Jax frowns, "I think this might be problematic. We need to rescue people but it's non sentient beasts." [ Rune (R) | 20:40:22 ]

One of the two stunsabers goes flying from Rune's hand, the young Ysannan having a difficult time in managing the two weapons to act as one. It's around that time that the alert goes off within the temple that others need a hand. With a quick gesture he summons the Force and returns both deactivated cylinders to their place on the wall before dashing out of the training room to the turbolift and down.

He comes sprinting along the trail away from the temple, tugging his jedi robes over his arms as he goes, bright hazel eyes shifting from side to side as he approaches the mess of Jedi. "Where are they? I heard the call, have they n- oooooooh!" Rune gasps at the sight of the overrun caravan and the folk blasting at their targets in an attempt to flee. [ Aryn Cortess (AC) | 20:43:44 ]

Aryn steps outside from the temple and takes a place she deems safe. All they heard over the comms was the sound of panicked voices and blaster fire, and instinct led Aryn to find cover. She waited for the caravan to arrive so she could properly ascertain what their situation was and how she might help. She brushes her cape back to reveal the fancy blaster pistol at her side. The weapon is drawn up and charged by flicking the fire selector from safe to fire.

Aryn Cortess has removed her Modified Westar-34 - 15595 from Black Utility Belt.

In a swift and smooth motion of movement, Aryn Cortess slips the sleek silvery form of her Westar-34 blaster pistol out of its holster and into an aimed and ready position!

[ Chewbacca (Chewie) | 20:46:37 ]

Very often, where ever Rey and the Falcon go, Chewie is very often to be found. Not always, because lately he's been spending more time on Kashyyk, but today he was working on replacing wiring. A meal break brought him down through the tower to sit outside in the sun and the wind. When the alarm sounds, he drops his food (gasp!) and grabs his bowcaster from his back, sniffing the wind for other kinds of news.

Jax Greystorm makes all become clear even as Chewbacca smells the spiders on the wind, "I smell them!" He preps his bowcaster and starts to lumber forward with a deep chested growl...

[ Zandra naMuriel (Zan) | 20:49:33 ] Zandra was working out, in the lightsaber training area having taught a class to some of the beginning students. Once they were done and on their way to dinner, she turned on one of those training remotes, and her lightsaber and was practicing. Thus her face is a bit flushed, and her lightsaber in hand as she arrives to where Jax is, eyes widening as she spies the issue. "Do they do that often? The spiders I mean?" she asks, sounding a bit alarmed. "A bit problematic, indeed. I don't know - is it possible to reason with them? If not, I guess we are set to bounce them off the caravan?" She knits her brow, reaching for the Force. The normal activity brings peace to her and her furrowed brow eases. "Let's try to get them away from the caravan, then the people can get rescued?" she offers as a thought.

[ Yuun (Yun) | 20:57:27 ]

Having spent time in the hall of the waterfalls meditating, he didn't feel anything really, he was at peace and he was happy to be back at the temple on Devaron. As he comes out of his meditation, his body reminds him that he's hungry and a small smile eases on his face as he rubs his belly. "Alright, dinner should be ready." he says and as he starts to head for the mess hall, Yuun stops as he sees Jedi leaving teh temple. Getting a feeling of unease, he bolts out the front door and look around and upon seeing a caravan rushing towards them and seeing teh spiders, eh shakes his head. "They are pretty persistant." he says as he closes his eyes and tries to focus on the lead spider and use the force to sooth it and make it stop attacking.

Members of the Temple guard rush out of the main entrance as well, other Wookiees from Kashyyyk who have pledged debts of protection to the new Jedi Order after the Order helped the Wookiee homeworld several years ago in stopping a terrible assault on their people.

The four Wookiees all rush out and take up positions around the edge of the temple property to prepare for the onslaught of Fur Spiders.

The dark of night is rapidly approaching, but the lights on the six Republic speeders give indication of where each vehicle is on the way up the grassy hillside. Their engines are roaring, and their bulks are indeed being assaulted by a horde of dark hued shapes!

<<"These nests were supposed to be cleared out!">> The Republic voice shouts over the comms, a male voice, and as he fires a blaster over the comms, it can be seen in the distance hitting one of the Spiders jumping at the lead speedercraft!

Another voice chimes in and screams as a speeder in the middle loses its driver and careens in to the hillside sending up a wave of mud and grass in to the air! Spiders converge on it from all directions, creating a massive ball of dark crimson fur over the Speeder!

The other speeders behind it have to swerve out of the way, each one spreading out in a fanning pattern, all of them being chased by the horde!

The smallest of the spiders was the size dinner plates and they're too many to count. The bigger ones were about the size of the Mighty Chewbacca himself. There was a pair of these spiders (2). One was converging on the downed speeder. The other was trying to spin a web to block the speeder behind the crash speeder. The Biggest spider well it had yet to appear but it was lurking out there somewhere. A feeling of primal terror and darkness just on the edge of the force users senses.

There "The spiders? I don't know. Yuun mentioned them one time. I know there's ambush serpents, six legged deer, and venomious monkeys on another part of Deveron." Then he sees the speeder crash and then the spiders web up the driver pulling the driver out of the speeder and towards a tree. "I'm going after that driver. We need to figure out how to get rid of the spiders and keep them from the temple." Jax takes off at a run moving at a blur as his saber flashes out in his hand generating an angry hum as he cuts the threat of webbing between the driver and the spider. [ Rune (R) | 21:11:59 ]

Rune nods to Jax's assessment of the situation, his eyes as big as the dinnerplate spiders themselves. "Maybe flashing lights will drive them off?" He doubts it because the blaster fire and the lights from the speeders haven't done the trick but anything is worth a shot... that and he's at least got his weapon active in case things go bad.

He starts off after Jax.... and trips, stumbling at least ten feet along before his feet regain a sense of how to move and he closes the distance between himself and the overrun speeders. The lightsaber is waved back and forth, hopefully as a distraction, hopefully as a way to ward off some of the beasts. Either way, the closer he gets, the quicker he's going to discover whether or not this plan works.

Aryn didn't try to philosophize the nature of predators. They saw a meal, and they were trying to claim it! Aryn moved for the downed speeder, figuring that if anyone was going to need medical attention, it'd be the occupants of that speeder. In doing so, though, she hoped to draw away a few of the spiders, blasting one a pair of times despite missing her third shot. She moved closer to see what she might do to help. "Anyone still alive in there?!" She called out over the hustle and bustle of the swarming creatures.

There is a RRAAAWWWWWRRRR and Chewie lifts a great hair arm to attract the attention of the other wookies, "With me!" He points to the downed speeder already geting mobbed by many of the smaller spiders. As Aryn and others go to arrest the approach of one of the largest spiders towards the downed craft, Chewbacca leads the natives of Kashyyyk on a charge to try and rescue those already beneath the onslaught.

Their combined efforts are not at once a great success. Too many of the smaller spiders in the darkness with too little light makes it difficult to get clean shots - and not risk hitting those trapped beneath!

A wookie's roar of frustration comes up out of the darkness.

[ Zandra naMuriel (Zan) | 21:31:36 ] Zan realizes quickly that he idea to flip the spiders off - yeah, that's not going to work. Too many! So she charges in, down the hill, gravity helping her get more speed than perhaps she ought. She at least waits until she gets her downhill dash under control before she ignites both sides of her lightsaber, the purple crystals giving a definite shaded glow to her blades. She attacks, the spider's multifaceted eyes and lots of legs making it very dodgy. Zan's first swing is avoided with a hiss, her second hits, and her third misses again, but she hopefully is pulling its attention away from the caravan. Which may not be a good thing, in retrospect.

[ Yuun (Yun) | 21:45:40 ]

Watching the activity going on further down, seeing the New Republic Speeders trying to get them and watching as one of the speeders careen off the path. Yuun takes his lightsaber in hand but then he stops himself, he continues to watch as everything unfolds in front of him, slowing his breathing, taking his time. He sees Jax rushing down to engage the plate sized spiders (Correct me if I'm wrong), he sees Zan and Aryn attacking the wookie sized spiders. The New Republic drivers are doing their best to evade, he sees. But that larger of the spiders Yuun sees is making a web, that one needs to be taking down.

As Yuun is about to start off at his objective, he does notices that Rune is moving down the hill as well and he hears the large Bowcaster being fired and watching the quarell miss it's shot. "Chewie, I'm going after the bigger spider, can you cover me?" he asks the wookie as he runs down the hill. Oh this isn't graceful at all, slipping and tripping all the way down, Yuun still is able to manage this and still he hasn't ignited his lightsaber, as Yuun makes his way to the larger of the spiders, he leaps into the air, the cool blue blade ignites from his hilt with a snap hiss, and Yunn strikes, going for the head but he is short. Landing Yuun strikes out again, his blade slicing against the furred thorax of the large spider, followed by another strike. Hopping back, he knows this will get it's attention and that's what he was hoping for.

Rey was on planet, but she wasn't at the temple. She'd gone with some of the temple residents (the non-FS variety) to the nearby republic village where they were waiting for the Caravan to arrive to load up on to cargo ships to take up to the fleet in orbit of the planet.

The call had come out that the Caravan was under attack though and it'd reached Rey at the Republic landing field.

Her familiar voice comes over the comms.

<<"This is Rey. We're enroute to help but we're a few minutes out still. Try and hold them off, fight them back if possible! We're coming!">>

Inside the cockpit of the old T-65c X-wing, Rey is hustling to settle in and lower the canopy. Two more pilots are running under the wings of her X-wing toward their own ships parked behind it.

Rey raises her helmet up, and slips it on over her head...

[ Jax Greystorm (Jax) | 21:56:17 ] The wookiee sized spiders do not take kindly to the cutting and burning of the sabbers. There's hissing and chattering as the spiders both turn and lunge at Yuun and Zandra respectively. Neither spider hitting the jedi. The other jedi and Wookiees have problems of their own as the smaller spiders go bounding at them to attack them.

Speeder #4 goes crashing into the tree and there's a scream from the driver as couple of smaller spiders pull that driver from the vehicle. Three of the guards get carried off into the night by the big spiders. Their blasters fall dead.

Jax dodges out of the way of a big spider and at Aryn's words, "I got the driver here. I don't know what happened to the guard. Then turning to see one of the guards being carried off, he throws his saber at the sider the blade spinning through the air as the spider leaps up like it was nothing. The saber returning to Jax, "Kriff." The jedi says as he takes off at a run. His saber returning to his hand.

[ Rune (R) | 21:58:37 ]

The lunge and snap the spider took at him was the first clue his plan wasn't working. The next clue was when the spiders began advancing instead of retreating from his bright green blade. "That did not go as planned." Rune remarks, switching tactics to a more aggressive one, using the saber as it was intended to begin with.

The Ysannan darts in with his column of emerald light blazing, each swipe of the weapon intended to lop off a part of the offending beast. The spider himself seems to have the way of the Force as with each swing the creature moves that appendage away from the attack. Dismayed with wide eyes, Rune stares at the spider, impressed but also a little alarmed. "I have a bad feeling about this."

Aryn rushes after the group of spiders carting off people. She tries firing at the damned things, but they're all over, and her running isn't doing anything for her aim. "Mother above, .. GET BACK HERE, SPIDERS!" Aryn holsters her weapon and unclips her lightsaber. She never imagined in a hundred-million years she'd be telling these spiders to /come back/. "HOLD ON, GUYS.. WE'LL GET YOU!" She rushes after them, lightsaber in hand now.

With a display of pure skill, Aryn Cortess twirls the silver Westar-34 pistol several quick times around her finger and then swiftly slips it back into its holster at her side.

[ Chewbacca (Chewie) | 22:07:04 ]

In Wookie retrospect, it would have been a /lot/ smarter to have waded in with their blades instead of bowcasters. Chewbacca wails in frustration, not having much success with his bowcaster with so many smaller spiders trying to claw their way up his fur and bite at him!

To Yuun's call for coverage, Chewie makes horrible noises if you can't undertand what he's saying! His tiny translation droid is back on the Falcon. "I'm a little busy!" Not to mention his and the other Wookies' efforts at trying to save the people in the first downed speeder isn't going so well. It's starting to look pretty horrifying and grim for any survivors!

The wookies are upset, making a heck of a racket and firing or slicing at spiders. You'd think they'd be used to this. There are giant spiders on Kashyyyk, right? Should be fun and games! But it's not.

[ Zandra naMuriel (Zan) | 22:11:59 ] Zandra does not like it when the spider tries to take revenge on her. She really doesn't. Usually she lets the wildlife be, but this time? She dodges, swipes a spider leg and then her blade sizzles through the huge spider like it's cotton. "You silly spiders need to leave us alone," she says, very tightly. There's a serious sound to her voice as she stabs into the spider a couple more times for good measure. Now Zan takes a moment to look around and see where everyone is and what's going on, trying to decide what to do next.

Yuun rolls away from an oncoming attack from the large spider, facing the spider Yuun sees that it will not stop. Taking a breath and allowing calm to flow through him, Yuun steps forward, moving fast as he closes the distance between him and the very large spider. Striking lightning fast, there is no flourish or anything fancy, Yuun moves in charging the spider and ducking under a swipe he thrusts his lightsaber point first into the head. He bows his head as he feels the force leave teh spider as he takes the creatures life, "I'm sorry, go with the Force. I can't allow you or your brood to attack these people." he says.

With that, he turns off his lightsaber and as he does he spins to his left seeing the smaller spiders, he lunges forward striking for two of the spiders but missing them.

[ Jax Greystorm (Jax) | 22:26:23 ] The two larger spiders die to Zandra and Yuuns attack but that doesn't keep the smaller spiders to cause another one of the speeders crash before it makes it to the safety of the temple. The driver webbed up and being webbed and pulled out. The same with another of the guards. The speeders would be at the safety of the temple and away from the fur spiders in mere moments but that time hasn't been reached yet. As the guards are drawn off into the darkness and spiders turn on the jedi. Jax dodges a pair of spiders as he goes racing off to follow Aryn, "Careful! I sense darkness." He reaches out out with the force to try to rescue one of the guards.

[ Rune (R) | 22:36:28 ]

The screams are harrowing and it's all Rune can do to block them from his mind, for the moment, and attempt to down this spider so he can /get/ to the screams to help them. The spider doesn't want to cooperate in the slightest, the surprisingly nimble creature possessing a sort of 'spidey sense' that allows it to know when attacks are incoming. As such Rune simply creates a pretty light show as his saber whizzes past the creature, hardly coming close to do any sort of damage. "Stand still, please?" The young Force user asks, now resorting to pleading with the large monster in hopes that might work. You never know unless you try, right?

[ Aryn Cortess (AC) | 22:45:04 ]

"If darkness encroaches, then time is of the essence." Aryn answers back, stretching her arm out ahead of her and drawing out her influence through the Force. Willing two of the victims to come free from the spiders, Aryn makes a fist before dragging her hand back to her chest, gesturing the actions of the Force as two people come flying back toward she and Jax, landing gently on the ground. "There are still others, right?" Aryn moves to help the pair up.

[ Chewbacca (Chewie) | 22:46:06 ]

YUUN! How is Yuun doin.... oh nevermind, he's killing the huge spider like it's a party favour! He doesn't need Chewbacca's help! Chewie needs his! But the Wookie looks to check on the jedi anyway. That's when he sees one of the guards being dragged into the brush and the darkness by spiders, "NNNnnnnnoooooo! Bad spiders!"

The very large wookie drops his bowcaster to swing on it's long strap against his shoulders. Chewie takes a dive into the brush and puts out his huge furry hands to grab at the guard being dragged away, "I HAVE YOU!" Spiders can /not/ win tugging matches against Wookies. It's a law of phyics. Chewie finally wins!

Incidentally, so does the guard. She's not ripped apart after all. Chewbacca drags the guard out of the trees boots first, then checks on the other Wookies and the battle at large.

[ Zandra naMuriel (Zan) | 22:46:50 ] Zandra's eyes widen, as the hair at the nape of her neck stands on end. Danger - her breath comes in a hiss and she calls out, "There's a big spider, bigger than the rest of them - and I think it's dark side." She also reaches out with telekinesis to struggle with a spider to rescue folks who are being carried off. "Oh no you don't, you vicious nasty terrible things," she says. It may be worse because there's calm in her voice despite what she says. "Aryn, BE CAREFUL over there, it's in your direction!" She nearly catches up with Aryn and Jax, just a bit behind the two, and two more people come flying out, no doubt really confused people.

Yuun moves gracefully under the circumstances as he manuvers in and out of the spiders that he is facing. None of them having been able to get a hit or grab at him. His glowing blue blade lashes out in rapid slashes, but the spiders are just as nimble, though they cheat, they have eight legs to his two. Yuun keeps moving not letting them surround him, but he does spare a glance around and he sees that the drivers are being rescued. A smile shows on his face and he focuses more on whats going on around him.

It might be hard to tell at first, what with all the chaos on the hillside, but the sounds of roaring engines is growing louder from the west!

With the madness of crimson fur spiders all over the green hillside, and the dark of night settling in on the landscape, the flashing lights down below are drowned out by the sudden bright bursts of energy from the sky!

• Bwapbwapbwapbwapbwap!*

Rey's X-wing and two Y-wings sweep in from above, peppering the treeline where the fur spiders are coming from with bursts of hot laser death from above!

The trio of Republic starfighters sweep down from the sky and pull back up to avoid the trees as they make their first pass over the chaos, making sure to not aim toward any lightsabers on the ground!

<<"That large one looks like it needs a bomb to its head. Are you all in trouble? We can make a run on it, or go after the nest.">> Rey's voice says to those who are on comms.

[ Jax Greystorm (Jax) | 23:03:07 ]

The speeders make it to the safety of the temple just as Rey and co comes flying in to start shooting at spiders. The jedi find themselves being attacked by the remaining horde until they begin to be pushed back.

In the Darkness there has been a great red web been spun and sitting in the web is a large spider, the size of a T-65. It was where the smaller spiders where dragging the people they had been captured. A sixth speeder and it's crew were webbed up in the web. The large spider was drinking the liquid from a humanoid form covered in webs. It looked at the three jedi knights hissed and leaped in the air to land on the ground over Aryn it's head ducking down to bite the knight. Then it moves to start covering her in scarlet webs.

Jax lets out a holler, "Aryn!" THen his blue saber lashes out at the creature, "Rey keep the little ones away from us. Other jedi defend our own!"

Rune and Yuun (the two 'un' brothers) had been distracting the big spider with their lightsabers, the three combatants locked in a deadly game of who will hit first. It didn't seem to matter since a blast from Rey's X-wing splattered the creature with the two of them looking on. "That will do the trick." Rune remarks, lifting a hand in thanks to the ship as it roars by in the night.

There is no time to waste however as a larger, even more ugly, threat rears its head and bites at Aryn with its huge tiny mouth. With a cry, Rune darts toward the massive arachnid, his blade slashing through the air to miss once, twice, th.... on the third swing his lightsaber connects, carving a thin line through the creature's body, its flesh sizzling where the blade passed through. "I think we found the evil in this nest!" [ Chewbacca (Chewie) | 23:18:51 ]

The wookies are rallying! Now they have managed to save at least /some/ of the poor caravan's drivers and guards, they come forward to try and lay into the huge beast that assaults Aryn. Chewbacca grabs up his bowcaster once more, the strap keeping it close to hand as he advances. He gives out a ROAR of incomprehesible sound (isn't all of it?) and shoots a bolt with deadly accuraccy into the great spider.

Just in time too. Because Zandra leaps up to steal the show, slicing and dicing sizzling spider bits this way and that. Chewie blinks and looks impressed.

[ Aryn Cortess (AC) | 23:20:43 ]

Well, she was warned. A large spider made its presence known and before Aryn could think about getting away, it struck. Quick and forceful, she felt the talons pierce her skin and impale her mid-section. They didn't go all the way through, just enough to inject its venom and set her body to shutting down.

Aryn felt it enter her body, felt the foreign burn as it began to numb everything that touched it. There was no pain, which was the odd thing; a genuine bliss that confused her mind into thinking everything was okay. Was it? Was she even bitten?

When the fangs were removed, she fell backward, caught by the spider's legs and wrapped. In her mind, an internal struggle began to mount as Aryn commanded her own body to respond. This process was only enhanced by her influence of the Force. What began as cocoon of red webbing was suddenly pierced by the sapphire blade of her lightsaber as it answered back, hewing the substance in halves and stumbling out, coughing up her own blood.

Aryn waved her weapon at the animal, warding it backward at first, then impaling its abdomen with a nasty stab that she dragged until knocked sideways and away from the creature.

Aryn stumbled to one side, proud she had plucked herself from certain doom but the venom took its toll and she collapsed there after, curling into the fetal position, her lightsaber deactivating and remaining clutched in her gloved hand.

Everything at that point began to fade, despite the 'bwapbwapbwap' of friendly fighters arriving to blitz the jungle of critters. Even those sounds faded into an echoing chasm of peaceful.. darkness.

[ Zandra naMuriel (Zan) | 23:27:25 ] The other person who Zan learned a lot from: Yuun. Ahem. Like how to fight with a lightsaber. Zan makes sure that the couple of guys she's rescued can breathe, but then leaves them, as the gigantic spider that she sensed makes its appearance. Whoa! Zan takes a breath, centers herself and reaches for the Force. She can see the others attacking the spider, and she can see the spider too. Zan watches almost in slow motion as Aryn gets hit, and Rune calls out about the evil in the nest.

"Incoming," she calls. She darts forward, her double bladed saber circling as she follows the extra training that she got from Ax, and from the holocrons. Zandra feints to the left, and the spider follows. Then there's a quick pivot, and the saber comes screaming through the air, sizzling as it hits spider chitin and cuts through. The spider squeals, as Zan follows through, and the second blade hits the spider as well, lopping off a pincher which lands on the ground. "You do not get to do this, not today," Zan says, panting, as she spins and slashes with the first blade again, her saber a perfect extension of her body as it slices through the spider which makes it's horrible keening and clickclickclicking sounds suddenly stop.

With her radio, Zan says, "Uhm, I think the spider's good, Rey. Get the nest maybe?"

[ Yuun (Yun) | 23:33:43 ]

Yuun having finished off his opponents, hears Aryns name being called rather loudly. He feels within the Force that something has changed and as he looks in the direction of the larger spider, he blinks. "Ok you don't see anything like that often." he says. Though as he speaks the screams of incoming fighters can be heard and incoming shots from the fighters start to land. Using the air assualt, Yuun moves! Using the trees and debris as cover, Yuun starts to make his way towards Aryn, "Hold on Aryn." he says. He did hear Jax speak up telling them to cover their own now and that was what Yuun was going to do.

As he nears the danger zone he hears and sees the whirling of lightsabers as Aryn is able to cut herself free, Rune get a hit and Zan just dances. Yuun rushes to Aryn's side and checks her pulse to make sure she was still with them. He hadn't felt her life force extinguish which is good but still. "I got Aryn." he calls as he deactivates his weapon and moves to pick her up carefully, "Heading back to the temple!" he calls to Rune and Zan and he begins to carry Aryn back.

<<"Copy that.">> Rey's voice speaks over the comms. The bright pink engines of the X-wing flying off over the tree line with the two Y-wings flanking it.

there comes sound of more laser fire, followed by the flashing of the orange-red light overre the jungle canopy as the starfighters blast at more creatures in the clearing near the bridge that the caravan came over.

<<"Look at that.">> Rey's voice says. <<"They're coming out of something in the jungle. Ruins of some kind... ">>

Moments later the trio of ships roar back over the hillside and once more begin to lay down lines of strafing fire that scorch the grass, and send up plumes of smoke, mud, and spider-guts!

<<"They've uncovered something in the jungle, we'll have to check it out.">> Rey says as the three fighters sweep past the west side of the Jedi Temple structure.

The spiders are driven back and the newly repaired bridge will need to be repaired again but it does keep the spiders at bay for the moment. Another new mystery to explore.

Jax looks at Yuun as he takes Aryn and runs with her. "My the Force be with you." Though if this is aimed at Aryn, Yuun, or both, he doesn't take the time to say. Jax then opens up the com, "Rey, Aryn got bit by the big spider. We needed a healer, Yuun has her enroute to the temple" His tone dire. "She's pale and limp." He takes a few breaths. Then looks to the other jedi and the wookiees, "Alright lets get the other wounded back to the temple. Then be ready to help how ever we can." Jax says moving to help one of the guards that had been rescued.
