Profile
DB-9 is a droid about town. The helpful astromech droid is completely and unconscionably bad at astrogation, but he is handy. He has taken "jobs" for "credits" on freighters and repaired fighter craft, much like a spacehand would move from crew to crew looking for a berth or a way out of system. Need something fixed? Need it broke-d? Need an endearing droid to tag along in (mis)adventures? DB-9 is available for hire.
In-Game Description
This little droid is a BB-series ball in scruffy cobalt blue with matching trim on each of its six tool-bays. Years of service have worn the once-pristine finish to a weathered patina. Subtle scratches and burnished spots tell stories about tough spots and close calls. The silver access ports allow tools to slide in and out as needed, the mechanisms snappy and crisp. The domed head is usually perched on top and held in place with magnetic casters, but at top speed the droid's head could be just about anywhere as the stabilizers work overtime to keep up. Two-tone silver and dark gray metal sections on its head host access ports and the small holoprojector. The curious black sensor orb glows with a faint golden light at the center, chatoyant as a cat's eye and hooded beneath a protective cowling. A jaunty pair of spring antennas point up from the top of the dome.

Character History
DB-9 has no recollection of the many space battles he was a part of. Thanks, regular memory wipes. He was salvaged, repaired, sliced and overlaid with new skills, and manumitted to cover up his origin. Nothing to see here.
