Reprisal
Reprisal - retaliation against an enemy, for injuries received, by the infliction of equal or greater injuries.
Reprisal Background
The Incom UT-60D U-wing starfighter/support craft, or U-wing, is a transport/gunship model manufactured by Incom Corporation and used by the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War. Since that time a few of these ships have remained in service due to it's versatility. It's primary mission is to safely transport troops into battle, and then provide cover fire with it's the twin Taim & Bak KX7 laser cannons and the single Torpedo launcher. The wings of the U-wing are retractable and can be positioned forward-facing for hyperspace flight as well as landing in confined spaces or swept back for atmospheric flight providing enhanced maneuverability. It is capable of carrying 20 fully armed troops in relative safety due to it's heavy shielding and robust armor or to ferry in up to 60 tons of cargo. While rare due to it's age there are still a few around and are considered to be in high demand.
Little is known about the history of the UT-60D U-Wing Reprisal, but it is certain that it was used at one time by the Rebel forces. This can be proven by various names that have been scratched on the bulkheads. What ever it's true history it was well preserved and now refitted by Triz Dermout including upgrades to it's nav unit and hyperdrive system.
Reprisal Currently
Reprisal has been refitted by Triz after she took possession of the ship. Much of the electronics have been upgraded, including upgrades to it's Nav unit, the hyperdrive system has seen extensive upgrades and the outer skin has been cleaned and repainted. A detailed check of all systems has been completed and those parts that were found to be marginal or questionable have been replaced. Upgrades to the display systems along with flight controls as well as the computer systems brings the old in line with the new. All in all the Reprisal is as if it were purchased new off the Incom showroom. though more formidable than originally ever was.
