Thilda while doing chores catches a thief

OOC Date: January 24, 2016 (Optional)
Location: Maz Kanata's Castle
Participants: Maz Kanata, Thilda Akura

Maz Kanata takes Thilda down to the basement, she hands her a white apron, a bit dirty with age, but at least Thilda size. "So.." She winks and dials her lenses. "We don't let people live here for free so time to earn your keep, 'dere Thildi." She ventures down the stairs casually. She carries a broom down. She looks up at the girl. She smiles wide up at her. "You up for a day of hard work?"

Slipping into the apron, Thilda ties it around her waist and takes the broom from Maz. "Always ready for work, Maz. I mean, I don't want to be a layabout." The girl smiles and leans against the wall, holding the broom. "Though was wondering if we were going to do something that wasn't...so...domestic."

Maz Kanata pats the girl on the elbow she can reach with a smile "Atta girl. I have a feeling we'll work out fine." She ventures down with the sveral rooms. "Simple task.. just sweep the floor in the hall, don't mind the rooms. Just old junk. She taps her thoughtfully. "Prove to me, you can do the little things, big girl responsibilities I can trust for you int he future."

With a simple nod, Thilda starts sweeping the floor of the corridor, a smile is flashed to Maz before her attention is on the task at hand. "I'll do my best to prove myself to you, I am just glad you gave me the opportunity, really." She says as she sweeps.

Maz Kanata smiles. "I'll be upstairs." She turns to leave. "If you run into any critters, call Cookee and he'll handle 'em." She turns and the bottom of the stairs. "Aaand stay out of the rooms.." She points at the doorways. "Nosing will do you little good child." She ventures upstairs to the bar area to carry on her duties, whichever they maybe.

Not really paying attention to much, Thilda sweeps the floor of the corridor, bashing dust bunnies and creating a pile of dust and detritus in the corner. Humming to herself, she wiggles her ass as she works.

The are a few rat like creatures but they tend to stay away. It wasn't long after she is working that she can sense she isn't alone. That creepy, 'I am being watched' feeling, and not the kind from Maz's friendly giant glasses. And the sounds of silent footsteps. As this hooded figure makes it way down the stairs, it is being cautious, it pauses when it sees you. However, when it is officially spotted it ducks down into one of the rooms!

Propping the broom on a nearby wall, Thilda looks at the door that the figure had ducked through, walking slowly toward it. Grasping the doorknob, she quietly turns it and carefully enters the room, looking around cautiously.

The creature is hiding, pretty well and right when Thilda walks past where it is hiding. It sneezes! It curses and yells something as it lunges at Thilda and makes for the door at full speed.

Thilda breaks into a chase of the creature, grabbing the broom on her way past in case she needs a weapon.

The creature gets up the stairs in record time but Thilda is able to keep up. The creature is shocked, however, the alien is carrying a small wooden box he had snatched from the basement. It just keeps running through the door, into the bar at full speed, trying to dodge Thilda. Zig zagging through the tables and patrons. This gets a lot of attention.

Managing to catch up with the creature, Thilda hits it up the back of the head with the handle of the broom, grappling on top of it and wrestling it to the ground. Growling, she keeps him pinned, trying not to make a scene while she wrestles the box out of its grasp.

The creature puts up a fight! However, Thilda is able to grab the back of it's robe and it goes flying backwards, hitting it's head on the hard wood floor. The box gets wrestled, and goes skidding across the floor where another cloaked figure is standing and he snags the box and heads for the door. In which Cookee throws a cleaver at the figure but misses hitting the front heavy wooden door.

Seeing the other cloaked figure escape with the box, Thilda just growls and punches the creature below her with enough force to knock it clean out, getting blood on her fist. Then she looks up at Maz and Cookee, concern on her face.

The cloak figure who originally surprised Thilda is knocked out cold. Maz hearing the commotion, can't run but she jumps up onto of a table and yells "STOP THEM!" Which ensues most of the bar and patrons to run off after the second cloaked figure. Maz follows after them, but he is too fast. Maz comes back after some time, back to Thilda, Maz is to say the least out of breath. "What did they take?" She inquires of Thilda.

"A wooden box, I'm not sure what was in it." Thilda says, taking the moment to catch her breath and stand up. "I'm sorry I couldn't stop them from taking it, I did my best, Maz."

Maz Kanata pokes the knocked out figure with her foot. "You got one, that's more than I could have hoped for." She pats Thilda on shoulder. She dials her lenses to look at the figure. "You caught it, that's for sure."

Nodding her head, Thilda sighs and picks up the unconscious alien, "Where do you want me to put it? Might be useful to get information from..." She trails off as she looks down at MAz.

Maz Kanata mulls it over some what was taken. "How big was the box?" Maz had a lot of junk that simply was not catalog, she's a pack rat like that. Maz tugs at the cloak to get a better look at the thief. It is a medium build male, blue skinned, while made it appear to be Twi'lek but something is a bit off about this male. Maz peers and flips up her lenses to clean them, to get a better look.

Thilda gestures and recalls what she saw, giving an approximation of the size of the box. "I'm sorry this isn't much help, it all happened so fast." She says, looking a bit downtrodden.

Maz Kanata pats Thilda on the elbow. "No need to be crestfallen. All I asked you do was sweep. You catch one that's something to be celebrated. We'll get whatever it is back.
