The Spy Game
OOC Date: August 24, 2019
Location: Beacon Base, Rori
Participants: The Resistance: Dyannah Nerus and Elrych Cometburn
Elrych is in the Intel Offices. He hadn't really heard back or been able to meet with the higher ups so he was taking a few liberties of his status as a Jedi to get some thing squared away with the recent happenings. Currently that was looking through Intel Cables reguarding Angouri, searching for any information reguarding the Skora person wh took down Merek and skeeming on the best way to get back at who ever was causing them this trouble. May not have been a very Jedi thing, but it was a very Corellian thing. He's got his sunglasses on, dressed in his corellian Captains gear.
Though the Irregulars don't have a station as such in the Intel offices Silver, the Intel officer, has cleared a desk for agents to camp at when on Base. A woman dressed all in black from head to toe enters the room with a data pad in hand, heading straight for the desk for 'campers'. "Elrych," Dyannah says in passing. "How are you?" She holds up her datapad then looks around the office. "I may have something for you and yours of interest."
Elrych looks up and over to Dyannah. He flashes that crooked smile of his. "Ah, Miss Nerus. Come on over to my little messy table and tell me what you have. I've got a few questions for you myself. Was hoping you'd show up sooner or later." He's sitting at the round table, likely a common table they use for lunch or breaks. He dosn't have a desc here... or anywhere really and he needed somewhere secure to do work that wasn't the achademy.
Dyannah sits, brushes away a lock of blue hair impatiently. "It's not Miss but Captain, Mr. Cometburn," she says with no nonsense pleasantness. "We've been in and out a fair amount of Rori recently. We've even considered putting the Pathfinder in orbit here but that remains to be seen. I have something that command here might like to see and certainly, those among the Jedi should see."
"Captain, alright." Shrugs Elrych as he sits there. "Yeah... which is why I was hoping you'd show up. Well, then why don't you show me what you have then and I can pass it along to the others?"
Her violet eyes fix on him a moment after his shrug. "I received a very unsolicited message from a source whom you might know. She opens the pad, presses her fingertip to it and then passes the message to him without further comment.
I don't know if you or any of your associates care but the ||>
<|| padewan Angouri Dros was captured by Sumi Kora and is in ||>
|| holding I assume on Sumi's ship awaiting pickup from Oran.
Elrych leans forwards, adjusting his sunglasses (yes they're prescription...) His brows raise as he reads the words, his lips moving along with each letter. "Kora... Sumi Kora, skora. That's her, the Mandalorian. It has to be... Oran. Another delivery to Oran. That's who I wanted to ask you about. Do you know this Sumi Kora or this Oran... who ever Oran is." He knew about the cables pointing towards Zero base. He takes the data pad with that on it. "You see this cable yet? We already broke people out of there. Whoever put that through is trying to set us up. Of all the dumb places to put someone of high interest, one where wer broke prisioners out of already wouldn't be it." He shakes his head. "I don't know of your source, I don't know Oran and I was hoping you could fill me in on him some if you do. Or even this Sumi Kora."
"Certainly my contact could fill you in. What I know?" She considers a moment, tapping her chin with a fingertip while she gathers her thoughts. "Oran is second to Kylo Ren, that was told me by the woman who sent this message. Several months ago. She has a connection with him that is quite possibly very close. She has been set up as a handler for some of their stormtroopers who are being groomed as agents. She is teaching them the social graces so that they integrate better into normal society." A head shake at the entire culture that would produce children that knew nothing but war.
"Ah, what else? Well, like you, I think it could be nothing but a set up."
"She's banging him, huh?" Elrych says so bluntly. No need to beat around the bush. "What we need to do, before we do anything is confirm that Angouri is actually there. I'm not willing to commit until someone puts eyes on her and can give me an absolute certainty that she is there. These cables, hundreds of them come through every day. You know that." This wasn't something this younger Jedi was infamiliar with. Running and setting up smuggling operations had it uses of this kind of work as well. "I want to know everything I can about Oran. I want to know his favorite drink, food, sex position, light novel, what kind of sleeper he is, his fears, his hopes and dreams, what kind of art he likes, what bugs he's scared of, how many moles are on his ass. His bank account, his house, the planets he likes to visit and stay on. Everything." The deadly calm coming from the Corellian's voice could be chilling if he wasn't so incapable of being intimidating. "Bottom line, even if that is a stretch. We need to absolutly know where Angouri is. Thirdly, we could look into this Sumi Woman as well, see what she's all about." He takes a deep breath. "Anyways. I'm going to pass this along to the Jedi an Higher ups, this meeting anyways. Feel free to attach your own report if you feel I've missed any important information."
The zeltron eyes him dispassionately, "Perhaps her name? The contact would have all of this information as she, as you so elegantly put it, is most likely this man's lover. That's not confirmed either. If we can lure her to Naboo then we can question her, perhaps. She trusts me."
She pulls back the datapad. "I replied to her message simply saying that we had been apprised of the situation and would contact her were we to need anything further from her."
"I believe she would like to entrap the Irregulars. She has tried once already. As for Sumi Kori - I've met her. She has no side in this fight. If anything, she may be pro-FO. That is all that I know of her."
Elrych nods slowly, "The Mandalorian. A bounty hunter by the sounds of it. Someone just trying to make a living. I'm not going to spend too much time on her. I know where the real evil lies here." He thinks a moment, "If we can bring her here or lure her somewhere and capture her if need be we might be able to get something out of her, yes. I'll leave that to you folks and well... if you need mind tricks you can bring us in on it." He smiles, "Reguardless, I'll pass on this innitial information."
Rising from the table, Dyannah gathers the datapad and slips it into the pocket of her jacket. "As always, Mr. Cometburn, a pleasure to help. I am going to put a slicer on tracing the woman who sent the message. Be well."
Elrych gives a little salute to Dyannah, "Safe travels, Captain."
