Shadow of The Order

Location: Dantooine
Participants: Jedi Order: Ax, Jax Greystorm, Sesti Greystorm, Yuun, and Elrych Cometburn

It was raining. Does it always rain on Dantooine like it does on Nar Shadda. The locals might not even know what Nar Shadda looks like. A humble village of Farmers and ranchers. A Boat load of actual, and not metaphorical Nerf Herders. Except the peacefulness of the remote world of Dantooine, which was once home to a more selective taining campus for the Jedi, was disturbed by an Elite unit of Stormtroopers. Shadow Troopers. They had coralled the defenceless Villagers into the town square, lining them up on their knees. They were a bit hard to see in their blackened armor but they could count four of them.

Elrych landed their ship about twenty minutes ago, "I'll stay behind and come in for a rescue if you need it. They said there are two Force Sensative Children down there and this unit of Shadow Troopers have been going township to township looking for these two. Looks like we got here just in time."

~ Ax had not known the extent of problems that they might face here on Dantooine, so he'd flown his skipray here instead of a freighter. A couple of Wayward crewmen remained onboard, keeping the ship warmed up and ready for a quick exit should the need arise. Also, Ax didn't care to fly on a ship he wasn't piloting.

On edge, the Echani had focused his will to give him a bit more speed and agility than normal. Never hurt to be able to react faster, after all, and it was a skill he'd finally mastered and maintaining it was effortless, at least for a few hours.

His ship landed next to Elrych's vessel, he looks to those gathered. "So, shall we go kick some tail and take names? Maybe just forego the names entirely and just kick First Order bucketheads to the moon?" ~

The trip here was pretty uneventful, he wasn't really worried about the flight. He enjoyed the flying, most of the other jedi were better pilots than him. Granted he has been learning and is slowly getting better. Once they set down on Dantooine, stretching out as they walk off the ship, the rain just helped wake him up. He was one who didn't mind the rain, he smiles a bit to himself, though upon hearing Ax, he shakes his head. "Maybe we can try to slip in, get the kids and slip out without them knowing we were here." he suggests.

Jax had flown with Elrych and had quietly meditated on the flight over. Though as the land he stopped and pulled his hood up. He reaches out and let the force flow through him. "This sounds like a wise plan Elrych. I'll make sure Ax has the comlink frequency that you provided us to stay in contact. May the Force be with you." He lets out a breath and then adds, "You just don't want to get compared to an actualy scruffy nerf hearder and found wanting. I'll go, Sesti will compare me and find me wanting. I'll bear the shame. May the force be with you." THen he walks down the ramp to meet Ax.

Jax meets up with his freind and old teacher, "Ax. It's been a day or two. Elrych is going to watch the skies and provide us air extraction if we need it. Let me give you the com frequency." Then as Yunn and Ax both suggest conflicting paths, "May the force be with us and show us the path required."

The rain, the low visibility, and their opponents dressed in black makes Sesti decide to put on the helmet of her armor. The tattoos, horns, and all other distunguishing features are now hidden in the armor, and she's strapped her blade to her back, found places for her throwing knives, and the stun baton is in it's usual place in her boot. One hip has a shorter vibro knife, and her other hip has a smaller, field kit, since they should be able to get any injured back to the ship in time. It can't be seen, but she smiles at Jax's comment about nerf herders, and her voice comes through the comm of the helmet. "They do tend to run a bit bigger than scrawny pilots," she mentions. "All that hard labor in the fields." She turns to Elrych and nods. "See you soon."

"Man, that's the last time I'm flying you two to beat up Stormtroopers!" Says the young Corellian in a whiney sort of tone, he turns back to his piloting sensors, "I got a swoop if you get in trouble too, let me know..." He puts his elbow up, resting his head in his hand as rain patters against the viewport. "Scrawny, I'll show you scrawny..." He grumbles.

Meanwhile, back at the Village, which is surrounded by grassy hills, inside a bit of a divit, two of the lower ranking Shadowtroopers are seraching house to house looking for the two boys that the Jedi are here to take away. The rest of the Village watches with worry, hoping and praying those kids arn't found. The Two ranking officers in the unit are speaking to each other while they watch their captives getting soaked in the downpour. Lightning cracks over head, thunder rumbling loudly into the distance.

~ Ax looks towards the others gathered. "So, how we wanna do this? We're all not on equal footing in combat roles or stealth. I'm open to suggestions, this trip I'm just along for the ride, not gonna take the lead on this run, time to see what you folks can muster." ~

Thinking about what Ax just said and hearing the others, "We need to find where the kids are and who is watching them. From there use the night to aid us and get the kids back to the ship. We keep close to one another." Yuun looks over to Ax, "You're the senior here, so you Jax and Sesti keep back, while me and Elrych go to the kids and try to get them to come with us." he says as he looks to the others. "What do you think?"

Jax looks at Sesti smiling, "Careful bad mouthing Corellian pilots and not clarifying. Elrych might have thought you were calling him scrawny insteas of me." He says to his wife with a smile.

Then Ax announces that he's planning on the rest lead the mission. "Whatever we plan we better put it in practice quickly. Stealth would be wise with only action as a last resort. Though there is the question of the Storm Troopers taking out their hostilties on those we leave behind?"

Sesti pauses, then her chuckle is heard. "I will make it up to him later." She turns to the others and nods at their words. "I think Elrych is planning on staying here with his ship. Finding the children and spiriting them away without revealing ourselves if possible may be the best plan. Perhaps two pairs split up, Jax and I go one way, Yuun and Ax the other?" She looks to her husband, the rain splashing down on her armor. "The night and rain makes visbility low to begin with, and we are not expected. We all stand a good chance of going unseen as long as we do not walk straight into them."

The rain lets up just a bit but the clouds are still thick, keeping the lighting low. The troopers continus to move, comming out of one building and moving to the next, practically tearing apart the place as they do so. One of th Villagers stand up to protest them going in but is butted in the head by a rifle butt. He goes down like a sack of potatoes.

~ The violence of the troopers has Ax on edge. Stealth was a good thing, but there was no way Ax was going to allow these goons to keep assaulting the locals. "Whatever it is, do it quickly, because I'm about to give these troopers a fight they'll not soon forget." Already, he's drawing out the hilts of his sabers, not igniting them, but having them ready. "The kids are in that building," he says, gesturing with one hand. "I think in the basement."

Ax takes in a deep breath. "The Empire did this to my people when I was a child, looking for dissidents. These bastards are even worse," he says. ~

Yuun sees this as well, though rushing in isn't a good idea. Still he begins moving towards the house where the two troopers went inside, trying to utilize the shadows and the night to hide his approach, but he trips and falls. He hits against the side wall, and as he tries to hide to keep from being seeing, he finds a few crates to try and duck behind, he thinks he's hidden.

Jax's head whips around as Ax tells him there's no time really to go as plan. The Troopers would be finding the kids before they could reach them without something to stack the deck. Then Yunn doesn't make it to cover. Jax tells Sesti, "Support Yunn and Ax. I'm going to cause the Order to have a bit of a wild gunduck chase. stay safe and I love you."

Jax moves to the edge of the township like the others taking no chance to hide. His hand reaching out to grasp at the speeder the First Order came in and makes a motion to throw it like a kids toy. Then he calls out, "Your looking in the wrong place! I am the one you seek. These people didn't know I was here. I'm the one you want to take." Then lifting his saber and igniting it, Jax drops into a defensive position of the third form.

As Ax points out the building where the children are, Sesti looks over. Then she turns as she hears Yuun toppling over and possibly getting the troopers attention. She starts to say something when Jax turns to her, speaks, then runs out. "Ax, do me a favor and make sure my husband does not get killed so I can murder him later," she tells the Echani. "I can make it over to the children while you do your light saber thing, and make sure Yuun does not get hurt too much, either." Then she ducks around the corner of one of the houses, stealing towards the one that Ax had pointed out.

The troopers who are outside stop their idle chatting and go into a bit of a prepared stance as Ax makes a noise on his way to some cover. They don't catch sight of him, but the LT ranked trooper makes is way towards the direction of that small noice. It's possible they missed someone or those kids are sneaking about avoiding their searching. "Hey... listen we can take you away from this place. It's really nice back on..." And then there's another loud clunk and out comes into full view Yuun as he tries to hide. The troopers rifle comes up but he dosn't fire, not sure what to make of him. "Don't move... on your knees..." OF course that's when Jax, Super Jax, Captain Jax-jaxington action hero appears and thwarts the evil-doers plans. The Troopers are stunned but they do as they're trained. THe spread out, the LT and Captain now both focused on Jax firing towards him as they call for the two Sergeants to come and support them. THey are still unaware of Ax and Sesti, and don't seem to think Yuun a threat yet as he dosn't appear armed.

~ Ax begins to move towards the house where the kids are hiding, but his foot crunches against some loose gravel he tried to avoid. "Dammit," he whispers and manages to duck behind some cover to get out of sight of the troopers before they spot the Echani.

Then, Yuun is heading right for where the troopers were, if he's trying to be quiet or stealthy, he's failing miserably. This puts Jax into motion, lightsaber out. "Dammit," he mutters again, giving Sesti a nod.

Ax, speed enhanced by the force begins rushing the troopers as they open fire at Jax, his twin emerald blades igniting as he closed the distance. "No chance, bucketheads!" ~

This isn't what he was planning, and now because of his failure to be stealthy Yuun sees Jax coming out revealing himself and now Ax who is rushing towards the Troopers who have opened fired on Jax. "Kriff." he growls a little and begins rushing after Sesti, he will go with her to help get the kids.

In the shadow of his hood there's a slight smile as the Captain does what supposed to but misses wildly. Then the other hits a bit closer to Jax his saber hissing as it deflects the blaster bolt away harmlessly. Then Captain Jax-jackassington does what action heroes do he goes to run, the force granting him speed as he runs towards a hovel to block line of sight from the troopers, and towards the bucket heads. "Well it was working." He says changing his direction and following up next to his friend, "When time became pressing and sneaking was failing. I decided to try a wild gunduk chase. I should have told you and Sesti but didn't want to blow your cover. Thanks for being here, Sithspit. I know if I survie theres a line to kill me."

As she ducks around the side of the house, Sesti looks back and sees Yuun. Switching to comms and not her voice from the helmet she says, "Yuun! Go help Jax and Ax! You are going to lead the troopers to the children if you follow me!" Then she's around the corner and going into the door and pulling off her helmet as she looks for the way to the basement. Taking off the helmet lessens her resemblance to the troopers and hopefully will scare the children less than a zabrak will.

Sesti manages to get her warning off to Yuun and enter the building right before the Two Sergeant's come out of the other building and notice him there with a Lightsaber like thing in his hand. They don't ask questions, they just open fire. The Captain and his LT are now splitting their concentration between Ax and Jax as they now press the attack.

Inside the basement Sesti is able to find a boy and girl, brother and sister, the girl slightly older than the male huddled together in a corner behind some crates. They see the Zabrack and looks a bit scared as they're not so used to other species besides their own.

~ Ax is a blur of motion, force-enhanced speed and a variation of the Jar'Kai form turn him into a whirling dervish of destruction as he spins and thrusts into the fray. Three stormtroopers go down in less than a single breath.

"Yep, I'm the biggest threat here," he exclaims, bodies and body-parts falling in a shower around him. The armor of the troopers doing little to stop the blades of his lightsabers. ~

Having come to a halt, as Sesti ordered him to go help Ax and Jax. He doesn't say anything, he quickly changes direction and begins to move towards the others as Ax and Jax engage the troopers. The fighting is still going on, moving back towards where Ax and Jax were, he sees Ax take down three Troopers, but he couldn't just stand there, he quickly reaches out his hand and as he attempts to use the force in what he was hoping to slam the remaining Trooper against a nearby wall. He feels something, but thats just the rain because as Yuun attempts to grip the Trooper in the force and slam him down nothing happens.

WIth the storm trooper squad mostly cut down in moments, Jax pivots on a foot and holds his lit saber in a non threating towards the ground direction though he could still block the incoming fire from the last trooper. "Put down your blaster and put your hands up. There's no need for this to continue. Surrender, please."

As she enters, and spots the children, Sesti lowers her helmet to the ground and holds her hands out in a non-threatening posture to show she's not holding a weapon. "I am not going to hurt you," she tells the children. "I work with the new Jedi, have you heard of them? I have come with a couple of friends to keep the bad men outside from taking you away."

The Troopers fall in a flash to Ax's attack. The one remaining Sergeant is about to lay down fire on Yuun when Jax speaks up. He pauses and starts to step away back wards towards the Alley. "I'll remember this..." He says in a posh accent. "I'll remember you all and you'll fall at your knees to the first order." All those what he saw anyways and then he turns and runs towards the outskirts of town.

Hesitant at first, the children nod towards Sesti and move to stand, "What was all the nise outside. Are our parents okay? They weren't sure if you would come for us..."

~ "Sorry," Ax says, flipping his sabers and throwing them at the fleeing trooper. "These monsters will not back down, they cannot be reasoned with. Letting him go only causes us problems later, and more importantly, it causes more problems for the people here," he says, hands gesturing at his flying sabers as they cut down the trooper. Then, they turn off and are flying back towards the Echani to rest in his hand.

Ax looks to Jax. "He'd have called in reinforcements, if I'm too violent, then put it in the report. We're at war, war is hell." Then, he's looking around for more troopers or First Order operatives in the area. ~

Yuun sees the blaster rifle being trained at him, his failure to do what he needed to do, was going to be his death. Though he is spared, he looks to the Trooper as Jax tries to reason with the trooper, but it wasn't working. As the Trooper tried to flee, Yuun watches as Ax throws his lightsaber killing the Trooper. He shook his head, Ax's word did have some merit. Still looking around, Yuun doesn't ignite his stun saber, he begins looking around for other threats. "Sesti went to get the kids, we should get over there." he says to them.

Jax stands there for a moment and presses the button his saber and the blade withdrawing. He looks at Ax for a moment. "It's not my place to judge your actions or what is in your heart. I have concern for you as my friend and brother that you may find yourself on a dangerous path. Though you can make legitmit acqusations of my actions being foolish and brash. YOu also know my past. I believe we both have a long way to go." Then he turns and moves toward Yunn and ultimately Sesti. He lifts the comlink to his lips, "Elrych, we've secured the township. Anything on the scopes and you might be gettign ready to take off soon."

Sesti doesn't move towards them, letting them stand on their own and choose how close to come to her. "It is my friends, they are chasing away the First Order officers that came to get you. I am afraid I do not know who your parents are, so I do not know if they are alright." She pauses, listening for more sounds. "Are you wanting to go join the jedi? I know that they used to train children young, if that is what you and your parents wish." As she waits for their answer, she hears Jax's voice in the helmet she's holding. It's not close enough for her to hear words, but it doens't sound like he's hollering for back up, so she turns slightly to gesture towards the door. "We can go up, now."

The Trooper dies as he retreats, cut to nothing with Ax's blades. Inside the building the Children move towards Sesti and nod. "Yes. Our parents think it safe for us there..." The will go with Sesti towards the top.

Elrych on the other hand was already in the air, "Don't know what you guys did..." He says over the comms, "But there's a flight of TIE's heading this way." The Shadow troopers must have gotten some air support brought to Dantooine to do their operation with incase there was a resistance incursion. Elrych Dances with the pair for a bit, a few close calls but the force is very much with him today and his knack for flying. He takes out at least one. "I got one, but the other, he's real tough... just a minute."

~ Ax doesn't put the twin sabers away, though they're no longer ignited. "Understood," he says to Jax. "I'm going to get back to the Offer. I trust that you and Sesti can get Yuun and anyone else who needs protection out of the area. I can do more from my ship."

Then, Elrych's words come over the comms. "All the more reason," he says. And, the Echani is off, running towards his skipray, his crew onboard ready for battle. "May the force be with you," he calls back. ~

Yuun looks to Jax as he and Ax were speaking not really having a lot to say on the matter. Hell they are in a bad situation so the less FO presence the better he felt. Still he walks over to Jax as he begins moving towards Sesti and the kids, a feeling of being in the way does creep up, though he pushes that crap down he can't worry about that now, there is more to do. "I will keep guard and follow along once Sesti and the kids are up." he tells Jax.

"I think we can handle things. Be safe, mindful, and may the force be with you." He says to Ax. Then reaching for the comlink. "Nice shot kid. You got a wing mate on the way and you evened the odds. Stay out of his fore and aft. Use his poor visiblity of his wings against him." Jax grounded fighter pilot coming out. He nods to Yunn, "Sounds good to me. We just need a ride off this rock before we can escort them out of here. As soon as that TIe's toast and Elrych can land. We'll move. Keep an eye in the sky." He ducks inot the room. "We got to hold tight for a moment. Our Transport is taking care of a TIe situation. The Skipray's about to join the Fray."

"It is a beautiful place, and there are others there. It is probably the safest place you can be," Sesti agrees. "My name is Sesti, I am a doctor there," and she makes some conversation about the academy and the ocean as they walk up and out, her eyes scanning for her husband and the rest, letting the children look for their parents while they arrange for their flight off planet.

It's rough but seeing as they needed to get those off the ground that might be in danger, El instead goes for the quick drop landing. The ship, technically dosn't land he brings it in to hover in the town Square, his TY-2000. The ramp lowers and he jumps off with blaster pistol in hand, sunglasses on. The music is Blaring fro inside the ship. "Come on, everyone aboard!" And the includes the rounded up village people. He waits until that's done, Ax taking care of the rest of the TIE's as he maneuvers with his blastboat. Then, blasting forth he takes off to exit the Atmosphere. Another group saved along with their familes. However, who knows what the first Order will to to Dantooine in punishement... if anything.
