It's Dangerous to Go Alone

OOC Date: March 15th, 2016
Location: Iridonia
Participants: Sesti Gath, Jax Greystorm, Hex

The short story: Sesti and Jax report back to the Resistance about an encounter they had with TIEs near the Unknown Regions.

The long story:

The scheduled time had came to report in. Jax was standing in the cargo bay/crew berth of the Granite Hawk. Exine had jacked into the ship, "Exine use priority channel Theta. Then encryption code dewback. Let me know when you get a response form the contact and display them for us holographically." There was a few beeps from the droid and moments later connection and proper authentication would be provided to Hex.

And through the miracles of galactic science, there appears Tiny Blue Holo Hex, TBHH, bringing the entertainment and poor decision making skills of full size Hex into your own convenient freighter. "Jax," he greets. "You're all in one piece, I'm glad, that's really my favorite format for you."

Sesti comes into view to greet Hex as well. "It is my favorite format for him, as well," she agrees. "I wish we could say the same for the Hawk, though." She's stepped in so that she's slightly behind and to the side of Jax, so that the pilot can make a report.

Jax cross his arms, "Yeah yeah... from my prospective you should be asking me to help you and telling you your my only hope. I'm using Exine to project you. How secure is Theta and dewback at this moment?" Jax asks before speaking openly about what he found.

"Help me, Jax. You're one of several hopes of varying caliber," Hex replies, before greeting Sesti, "Sesti, there you are, hanging in there?" He is more serious at the transmission question, and confirms, "It's secure, you're all clear to proceed."

Jax nods, "Exine begin transmitting the data. Hex you'll be getting coordinates, sensor, and flight data from our trip into the system Ackbar requested us to investigate. It wasn't my best flying. But we found the First Order. There was no traffic in the system when we first arrived. I tried to make contact with the main space port. That earned us a pair of Tie/SF's trying to cripple us. I lost sublight engines and a lot of armor but we got lucky and went to hyperspace. We're on Iridonia and we're safe. It's just going to be a bit before my freighters flight worthy again."

"Copy that," Hex replies, and can be seen reaching to something, probably a terminal to make sure the coordinates and data are being received and recorded. "Was this a patrol in an inhabited system, or do you think they've set up infrastructure there?" Hex suffers a wave of blue light distorting his tiny self for a moment, then peers at Sesti. "Welcome home," he comments, thoughtful. "I hope it's going well. Do you guys need us to send any resources to Iridonia to repair your ship, or are you able to get what you need on-world?"

"I think it was inhabited, but Jax cen tell you more on the readings," Sesti replies, and then gives him a grin. "Thank you. We do have all we need on planet, and I have sent a message to Kadi, an engineer friend from Waywards to come assist us. We are fine in that respect. Plus, it will give Jax something to do other than twiddle his thumbs while I do my Trials."

"I'll probably be forwarding the bill when I get it. It's suppose to be a agriculture planet. There was no traffic or communications. So I'm not going to hazard what they're up to out there. I just know I had a couple of ties come out of no where and tried to force me to surrender. We barely got out of there. One of their pilots, she's good. You guys go in take fighter support. Sorry I can't give you a more detailed report."

Tiny Hex twitches his blue lekku thoughtfully. "Interesting," he says, though the tone is grim. "They've got to have something over there, TIEs wouldn't just crop up out of nowhere. I'll find out what the powers that be want to do about it, whether they want to scout directly where you were at or not, and in case they want a waypoint to park at closer to there, I'll see if any of our probes have found habitable worlds near your coordinates. This is way the hell out in the middle of nowhere, isn't it?"

"Way out, yes," Sesti replies, then gives Jax a little pat on the back. "I will let the two of you talk, this is not my expertise. Just wanted to say hello and check in. I need to try and head off my parents before Father sees the scorch marks. Good to see you, Hex, with your lekku still in one piece." She gives a nod and steps away.

Jax frowns, "That model of Tie sports hyperdrives. Though I doubt it was a routine patrol. The system from the intel I had was a habitable planet. Dunno if this is a recent development. Hell they could have took foot years back. What ever it is they didn't show up till I made a move towards the planet. I think they got something going on there." He reaches out to grab Sesti's hand giving it a squeeze before letting her pass by him.

Hex salutes Sesti, and actually salutes quite properly. "Vatak'ultuka," he says in Ryl, then translates, "Fight on. Good luck." Back to Jax, he nods. No other ships in the area came up on your scanners? Just the TIEs that didn't care for you buzzing their nest?"

Jax shakes his head, "Nah it was dead. It's all in the intel packet I'm sending you. It tells you better than I can. The only life we saw out there was the ties. But we didn't stick around to get close and personal."

"Sounds like a good thing you didn't," Hex agrees. "Thanks, Jax, I'll pass his along. Take care of Sesti," he instructs, though it's with a grin that suggests he knows Sesti is a formidable person who requires no special treatment. Jax gets a crisp salute of his own, then Hex says, "I'm out," and the holo portion of the transmission switches off, the data channel open until Exine is done with the transfer.
