Kalliskivium

Kalliskivium is a shiny, slightly translucent, dark blue material that resembles steel but weighs approximately half as much. A very efficient superconductor, Kalliskivium easily surpasses the efficiency of any material used in modern computers, provided that the temperature remains below freezing during operation. If the temperature rises above freeing the conductivity simply stops, making it as conducive as a slab of duracrete. Still, its discovery and manufacture led to the creation of several refrigerated computer labs across the galaxy, and the funds from that allowed the founding of LTI, one of Mirial's finest schools.
